Meghan Markle Shunned by the Ultra-Wealthy

Meghan Markle Shunned by the Ultra-Wealthy

Once maintaining public close ties with many famous and powerful figures, Meghan Markle is now being gradually distanced by them.

According to Page Six, the beginning of the fracture in once-blooming friendships dates back to 2019, when Meghan Markle collaborated with Edward Enninful—the then-editor-in-chief of British Vogue.

Edward Enninful and Anna Wintour previously had a complicated professional relationship at Condé Nast, acting both as colleagues and reportedly as individuals involved in underlying power struggles.

Edward Enninful was once a powerful editor-in-chief of British Vogue and a potential competitor who could have replaced Anna Wintour at American Vogue.

Meghan Markle Severs Multiple Ties

A source told the Daily Mail: “Meghan Markle sided with Enninful at the time, which made Anna Wintour feel betrayed and led her to dislike her.”

This individual further suggested that Meghan Markle is losing her direction and falling into crisis as her relationships with famous friends progressively collapse.

A prime example occurred in March, when Variety reported on the couple’s discord with Netflix, stating that Ted Sarandos—the CEO of Netflix—has grown so tired of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry that he will no longer take business calls with the Duchess unless a lawyer is present.

Conflict between Meghan Markle and Kris Jenner, along with her daughters—including Kim Kardashian—also erupted following Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party.

Additionally, Meghan Markle has reportedly never wanted to be seen accompanied by Lauren Sánchez Bezos.

“Meghan was invited by Lauren Sánchez to attend events, but she did not want to go. She did not want to be seen with Jeff Bezos’s wife because she thinks she is a suggestive dresser,” the source stated.

But now, billionaire Jeff Bezos and his wife will sponsor the Met Gala taking place on the evening of May 4, the most glamorous fashion event of the year. Anna Wintour is famously the host of the gala, and members of the Kardashian family are expected to attend, alongside co-chairs Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will also be absent. Daily Mail journalist Alison Boshoff suggested the reason is that they have broken their relationships with the wealthiest, most famous, and most influential people.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle recently shared her feelings regarding the couple’s tour of Australia.

She said: “My husband and I have a special bond with Australia. I told him on the day we left: ‘The only thing more wonderful than Australia is the Australians.'”

In another interview with Women’s Weekly, Meghan Markle also spoke about prioritizing wearing designs by Australian designers during the trip.

She said: “Over the last few years, I’ve often seen designers misattributed for the outfits I wear through affiliate marketing or the press, and that’s not fair. Credit must be given where it is due. Brands and designers work very hard and take pride in their products.”

New claims about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are once again putting their marriage under the spotlight. As the couple approaches another wedding anniversary, reports suggest they may be considering a vow renewal. However, insiders allege that behind the polished public image, things may not be as smooth as they appear. The situation, according to sources, reflects a complex mix of personal pressures and public expectations surrounding their high-profile marriage.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s marriage facing ‘undeniable tension,’ per source

As per a RadarOnline report, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s marriage is currently dealing with “undeniable tension.” An insider allegedly claimed there is a growing gap between how their relationship appears publicly and what may be happening privately.

The same source told the outlet that discussions about a vow renewal ceremony could be part of that contrast. While such an event would signal commitment, it is also being framed as a strategic move. “There is a strong desire in Meghan to present unity,” the insider reportedly said, adding that this could align with the 44-year-old’s carefully curated public image. At the same time, the source claimed that “real strains have not disappeared.”

Another claim from the report suggests Meghan may be reassessing her future. The insider alleged she is “basically desperate to leave Harry.” According to the same account, the tension could stem from differences in lifestyle expectations, particularly in the context of their life in California and ties to the entertainment industry.

The couple, who married in 2018, quit their royal roles in 2020 and have since built a life in the United States with their children. Over the years, they have shared selective glimpses of their relationship, including social media posts that highlight family moments. Some observers, as noted in the report, have interpreted these as “an attempt to counter” ongoing speculation.

Meanwhile, the idea of a vow renewal reportedly gained traction after the pair attended a ceremony hosted by Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. A source claimed the experience may have influenced Meghan’s thinking, both emotionally and from a public relations perspective.

Is Meghan Markle really the most trolled person in the world?

I have a lot of sympathy for Meghan but, at times, I do think that the Duchess of Sussex could do with putting her trials and tribulations in perspective

Iran may have reopened the strait of Hormuz, but a global energy crisis has not yet been averted. The war has already damaged as much as $58bn worth of power infrastructure. Even under the best-case circumstances, these could take years to repair.

Luckily, I think I’ve got a way to get us out of this mess. First we invent some sort of large suction device (technical details to be worked out later). Then we turn it on and hoover up all the rage directed at the Duchess of Sussex. Boom, energy crisis solved.

It is extraordinary how, at a moment when international human rights law is being trampled by bloodthirsty men, one of the most disliked people in the world is a somewhat bland woman. The duke and duchess are currently on a tour of Australia which, predictably, is sending certain tabloids into a tailspin. The Daily Mail appears to have published a piece every 10 minutes criticizing everything from Meghan’s Australian outfits (“stiff, impractical, and worst of all, horribly ageing”) to the guestlist for the women’s wellness retreat at which she’s doing a paid meet-and-greet.

This sort of criticism is nothing new for Meghan Markle. Indeed, on Thursday, she spoke about how much online vitriol she’s received while addressing young people affiliated with an Australian mental health organization about the harms of social media. “[E]very day for 10 years, I have been bullied and attacked,” the duchess said. “And I was the most trolled person in the entire world, man or woman.”

She’s not entirely wrong there. I’m no fan of the Sussexes but the amount of rage Meghan inspires is beyond reason. Her dimwitted but affable husband isn’t exactly universally loved either. But, because of good old-fashioned racism and sexism, she provokes a lot more ire than he does. I mean, Harry wore a Nazi uniform for lolz when he was young, and has been forgiven for it. Meanwhile, Meghan only needs to wear a green dress to a Netflix shindig where most people were wearing black to get the tabloids seething with hatred.

This is not to say, however, that the pair should be beyond criticism. There is obviously a difference between legitimate scrutiny of public figures and obsessive misogynistic outrage around every little thing that Meghan does. I have criticized the Sussexes myself plenty of times in the past for their seeming hypocrisy around their royal titles: they don’t want anything to do with royal life, they keep telling us, and yet they can’t seem to part with their aristocratic honorifics. At a time when frontline humanitarian workers are being murdered in record numbers their efforts to style themselves as great philanthropists can also feel a little out of touch.

It doesn’t matter how rich or famous you are, being relentlessly trolled online can be incredibly damaging. I have a huge amount of sympathy for Meghan in this regard. And I would also gently urge her to get some better PR help. I don’t think you have to be a comms expert to realize that making hyperbolic statements about being the most trolled person in the world – when you’re busy headlining $3,200 wellness retreats and have been handed multimillion-dollar content opportunities – is bound to ruffle some feathers. Senator Ted Cruz has already seized on the “most trolled” remarks to joke that, actually Meghan, Donald Trump has more trolls.

While it isn’t a competition I think I might give the Most Brutally Trolled award to Francesca Albanese, who is the UN special rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967.

For the crime of doing her job and speaking out about the genocide in Gaza, Albanese and her family have faced relentless death and rape threats online. The Daily Mail may not be churning out an article a minute about Albanese’s outfits, but she has been demonized by the Trump administration. Indeed, Trump issued executive order sanctioning Albanese, which means no American person or entity can provide her with “funds, goods or services”.

These sanctions aren’t just a mild inconvenience; they have been called a “civil death”. She can’t use a credit card and her apartment in Washington was seized. A Maine university even cancelled an academic conference in which Albanese was to make an unpaid appearance by Zoom because it was scared of the sanctions. She’s certainly not going around getting paid large speaking fees for women’s wellness retreats. I have a lot of sympathy for Meghan but, at times, I do think that the Duchess of Sussex could do with putting her trials and tribulations in perspective.

Media coverage of violence against women reaches ‘dismal’ low

A new report called the Global Misogyny News Coverage Tracker analyzed 1.14bn online stories published worldwide between 2017 and 2025 and found misogyny is still not treated seriously by the media. The proportion of articles that include terms relating to misogynistic abuse peaked at 2.2% in 2018, the height of the #MeToo movement, and dropped to 1.3% in 2025. “Men’s perspectives lead coverage and have recently been growing, with 1.5 men quoted for every one woman in misogyny-related stories,” the report notes.

It’s a common pattern by now, isn’t it? A woman dares to suggest that Trump isn’t God’s gift to mankind and the thin-skinned president hits back by calling her stupid or ugly. This time Trump’s ire was aimed at Jessica Tarlov, a liberal Fox News co-host. Tarlov’s crime was pointing out that the president has terrible approval ratings. At which point co-host Greg Gutfeld jumped in to say: “[Trump’s] not a politician.” You heard it here first, folks, presidents are not politicians.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ditch first class seats, experts question if move was a ‘strategy’

The couple visited the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, the same hospital Princess Diana toured in 1985

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have landed in Australia — trading royal luxury for what appears to be a more low-key entrance.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex touched down in Melbourne on April 14, marking their first trip to the country in more than seven years.

Unlike their 2018 royal tour — when they arrived aboard a Qantas private suite — the couple opted for business class on a commercial flight from Los Angeles, catching fellow passengers off guard, according to People.

“In 2018 Harry and Meghan had a very successful tour of Australia, in fact more popular than William and Kate,” Royal Broadcaster Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News Digital. “Travelling on a commercial flight I feel was a very good move on their part as they continue to be seen as part of the people rather than in some privileged position and that will get noticed by the Australian press too. They have several engagements and will feel very at home in the country.”

An Australian passenger who spotted only Harry remarked, “I’ve never seen anyone step off a flight looking so refreshed.”

“It wasn’t until we got off the plane that we realized it was them,” one American traveler told The Age.

The more subdued arrival extended beyond the flight.

Meghan, 44, and Harry, 41, skipped a traditional airport photo op, instead departing in a convoy of vehicles without stopping to pose for the press.

“With their failed deals and lack of large income stream, no doubt they are financially strapped,” British royals expert, Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital. “They have huge overhead costs. What with their 16 bedroom home in Montecito security, etc. But this was an extremely good move. It was received well by the public, obviously far better than flying private and their positive interaction with the public served them well. Makes one wonder if it was indeed it was deliberately done to garner public support? If it was, it certainly was a successful strategy.”

Fox News Digital has reached out to the Sussexes for comment.

It’s a stark contrast to October 2018, when the pair arrived hand in hand for a royal tour — stepping off a luxury Qantas private suite and announcing Meghan’s pregnancy with Archie shortly after. Two years later, they stepped back from their royal duties.

Shortly after landing, they visited the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, where they were seen walking hand in hand through the halls, stopping to greet patients, families and staff. Meghan wore a dark navy dress paired with black Dior heels, while Harry coordinated in a navy suit, white shirt and black shoes.

The visit held personal significance. More than four decades ago, Harry’s parents — Princess Diana and then Prince Charles — visited the same hospital during their 1985 Australian tour.

“Look around, and you can see the crowds of people, the smiles on their faces and what it means to them. Everyone is absolutely delighted,” Professor Christine Kilpatrick AO, board chair of The Royal Children’s Hospital, said, according to People.

“You can’t measure the morale boost, but it is palpable,” she added. “Many of these patients have been here for quite some time and are often very frequent visitors to the hospital. A joy like this is wonderful for them.”

When asked what he was most looking forward to during the trip, Harry kept it simple: “Everything!”

The Sussexes continued their engagements later that day, meeting veteran families at the Australian National Veterans’ Art Museum. Meghan also made a solo visit to the Homeless Services for Women Centre, where she donned an apron and served food.

Their current four-day itinerary includes stops in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra, blending charitable work, speaking engagements and commercial appearances.

Harry is set to serve as a keynote speaker at the InterEdge Psychosocial Safety Summit in Melbourne, where he is expected to address workplace mental health and psychological safety. Meanwhile, Meghan will headline a luxury women’s retreat in Sydney, billed as a “girls’ weekend like no other.”

The retreat, hosted at the InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach, has already drawn scrutiny over its pricing. Tickets range from $1,860 for standard access to $2,250 for VIP packages, which include a gala dinner described as an “in-person conversation” with the duchess, along with a group photo and exclusive perks.

Their visit follows a series of international trips tied to philanthropic efforts, including travel to Jordan earlier this year in partnership with the World Health Organization, as well as visits to Nigeria and Colombia in 2024.

Despite being privately funded, the Australia trip has sparked debate. Local authorities are expected to provide security for public events, with some costs potentially falling to taxpayers — a point of contention among critics.

Notably absent from the trip are the couple’s children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4.

Meghan Markle Sparks Outrage for Using Children to Turn a Profit

Meghan Markle is facing a backlash of criticism for selling scented candles inspired by her children—Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

According to Page Six, based on brand promotional materials, Meghan Markle’s “As Ever” collection, which frequently utilizes fleeting images of the children in its advertisements, launched on April 22.

She is selling two types of candles priced at $64: No. 506, “dedicated to the birth date of Prince Archie of Sussex,” and No. 604, “dedicated to the birth date of Princess Lilibet of Sussex.”

The British Royal Family Resents Meghan Markle’s Actions

A British Royal source called this sales campaign an “outrageous exploitation of their titles” and stated that the late Queen Elizabeth II never intended for the Sussexes to profit from these titles.

This is also the reason why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously agreed not to use these titles publicly after stepping back from their roles as senior royals in 2020.

Archie (6) and Lilibet (4) were officially granted royal titles by their grandfather, King Charles. Currently, both are listed on the royal website with their official titles.

Page Six now reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not only trademarked their children’s names but also own the related emails, social media accounts, and domain names.

While it is common for celebrities to protect their children’s names, an industry source noted that trademarking names for use on commercial products in the future while the children are still minors is a serious matter.

Meghan Markle has repeatedly featured Archie and Lilibet in images and videos promoting her lifestyle brand, often depicting the children as “Mommy’s little assistants” in gardening or cooking scenes, though never revealing their full faces.

Prior to the launch of “As Ever,” a teaser video in February 2025 showed Meghan Markle with her children in the garden and kitchen.

One month later, she posted a video showing Lilibet and Archie helping in the kitchen, and last month—in a promotional video for a collaboration with the floral brand High Camp Supply—the Duchess was filmed arranging flowers with Lilibet and calling to Archie from a distance.

Media materials for her new candle line state that Signature Candle No. 506 is tied to Archie’s birth date. The scent is described as a warm, comforting aroma—intended as a subtle nod to the boy’s red hair.

The second scent, Signature Candle No. 604, is described as a light floral fragrance inspired by the birth date of Princess Lilibet of Sussex, bringing a bright and airy feel to the home.

One source asserts that Meghan Markle’s use of the children’s images has the full consent of Prince Harry.
