Jennifer Aniston arrives to “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” on September 10
The Gist
- Jennifer Aniston tried the office siren trend during a video interview with Glamour published on Instagram on Friday, September 20.
- The Friends alum wore nothing but a micro string bikini underneath her plunging blazer.
- Aniston appeared alongside her fellow Morning Show cast including Reese Witherspoon.
Jennifer Aniston is putting a NSFW twist on transitional summer-to-fall dressing. Swimsuit season isn’t over just yet, and the Friends alum integrated some barely-there swimwear into a power style moment during a Glamour interview.
In the clip, which was published on Glamour‘s Instagram account on Friday, September 19, Aniston dialed up the sultry appeal while she joined her Morning Star co-stars for an “Excessive Questions” segment. Chatting with her fellow stars and real-life friends Reese Witherspoon and Marion Cotillard about playing strong female characters, the Murder Mystery actress looked ready for the boardroom wearing a fitted, ultra-plunging black blazer—except for an unusual beachwear styling choice. Aniston embraced her office siren moment, going topless under the jacket except for a tiny black string bikini top, which could be seen peeping out. Aniston wore her long blonde hair in a sleek, side-parted style, complementing her bikini-blazer sartorial mash-up with large gold hoop earrings, smoky eyeshadow, and bronzed skin.
Aniston’s sultry corpcore moment breaks up her recent LBD style streak. The star, who recently soft-launched her boyfriend Jim Curtis on social media, has been spotted stepping out in a parade of black dresses, including a ‘90s-inspired slip dress trimmed with lace and a side boob-baring black minidress with a halterneck design and a Millennial-loved peplum hemline. A source previously told People in August that the couple are “casually dating and having fun.”
The source also said that the hypnotist, who’s Aniston’s first public relationship since her divorce from Justin Theroux in 2018, is “very different from anyone she’s dated before.” Another source said that the relationship “feels different” and Aniston feels very “safe” with her new beau. “Jim’s great. Her close friends love him. He’s amazing to be around,” the insider shared. “He has this really calm and secure energy. Jen loves it.”
Jennifer Aniston’s hilarious response to learning Reese Witherspoon’s full name
Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon have been friends for 25 years — but they’re still learning new things about one another.
In a recent interview with LADbible, the Morning Show co-stars played a game called “Do You Even Know Me?” in which they took turns answering multiple choice questions about different aspects of one another’s lives.
At one point, Witherspoon asked Aniston to guess her real middle name: Jane, Jeanne or Joan.
Aniston failed to choose correctly, picking Jane when it was actually Jeanne.
“That’s confusing. I’m Laura Jeanne,” Witherspoon said before elaborating that her full real name is Laura Jeanne Reese.
Aniston, seemingly baffled, wondered: “Who’s Laura? Who the hell’s Laura?”
“Wait, Laura Jeanne? I’m not calling you that from now on. ‘Come on, Laura Jeanne,’” she continued.
Witherspoon, who has long gone by her true middle name, Reese, then turned the tables by asking Aniston her middle name, revealed to be Joanna.
“Jennifer Joanna,” Witherspoon said, taking it in. “J.J. Does anybody call you J.J.? Well I do now,” she added.
Their friendship dates back about 25 years to when Witherspoon made a guest appearance on the hit sitcom Friends, playing Aniston’s younger sister.
Now, the two co-star on the popular Apple TV series, The Morning Show, which released its newest season this week.
The series, which launched in 2019, follows a fictional breakfast show in the aftermath of a prominent news anchor being hit with a series of allegations. It also stars Billy Crudup, Karen Pittman and Nestor Carbonell.
The fourth season, released Wednesday, is set in spring 2024, almost two years after the events of season three. The newsroom must grapple with the newfound responsibility of navigating hidden motives in a polarised America, as the completion of the UBA-NBN merger causes a shakeup among the staff.
Aniston — who is executive producer of the show alongside Witherspoon — stars as TV anchor Alex Levy, host of UBA’s morning show, who is now dealing with things from a new position. Witherspoon plays Bradley Jackson, who is back at work despite quitting her job and facing punishment over helping her brother hide his involvement on the January 6, 2021 Capitol attack.
Just hours before the season four release, The Morning Show was renewed for a fifth season.
No further details have been shared about the plot or who will remain in the cast.
Jennifer Aniston Stunned as She Learns Longtime Friend Reese Witherspoon’s Real Name After 25 Years
NEED TO KNOW
- Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon have been friends ever since Witherspoon played Aniston’s sister on Friends in 2000
- Aniston, 56, was shocked to learn that she didn’t know her longtime friend’s real first name during a recent interview
- Witherspoon got her own surprise, though, as she learned Aniston’s middle name for the first time too
It turns out Jennifer Aniston doesn’t know Reese Witherspoon as well as she thought.
The Morning Show costars and friends of nearly three decades both learned something new about each other in a recent interview with LADbible, as Aniston, 56, was left dumbfounded after learning that Reese is not actually Witherspoon’s name.
Witherspoon, 49, asked her costar to pick which of three names — Jane, Jeanne or Joan — was her middle name, and when Aniston guessed incorrectly, the Legally Blonde star said, “It’s Jeanne. That’s confusing. I’m Laura Jeanne.”
“Laura Jeanne?” Aniston repeated back to her, confused, and Witherspoon confirmed, “That’s my real name.”
“Who’s Laura? Who the hell’s Laura?” Aniston said as the shocking news sunk in. “Wait, Laura Jeanne? I’m not calling you that from now on! Come on, Laura Jean.”
She then asked, “Where did Reese come from?” and Witherspoon revealed it’s her middle name.
“Oh, Like Norma Jean?” Aniston asked.
“Yeah,” Witherspoon said. “I’m Laura Jeanne Reese.”
Witherspoon said she “didn’t change” her name when she went into the acting world, she was “always Reese.”
It was then Aniston’s turn to quiz her costar, who also didn’t know what her middle name was. “Joanna,” Aniston revealed.
“Jennifer Joanna,” Witherspoon repeated. “J.J. — Does anybody call you J.J.? Well I do now.”
The actresses first met when Witherspoon starred as Aniston’s younger sister on an episode of Friends in 2000. Witherspoon was just 23 at the time, and had just welcomed her daughter Ava with her then-husband Ryan Phillippe.
“Being on Friends, still to this day, is one of my scariest moments ever, because it was in front of a live audience, and I had never really done theater. I’d never been in front of a live audience,” she previously told PEOPLE. “Jen was just the sweetest to me.”
“I’d just had a baby, and I remember her and Courteney [Cox] running to my dressing room going, ‘Can we see the baby?’ ‘You have a baby?’ I was like, ‘I do y’all, I have a baby.’ They were like, ‘Can we hold the baby?'”
Witherspoon remembered the “natural rapport and rhythm” that Aniston, Cox and their castmates Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow and the late Matthew Perry had.
“It was just these six people working in rhythm together,” she said.. “You could tell they truly loved each other. It’s really lovely to me, that I got to see them.”
