Hero K-9 Pitbull “Diesel” Found Dead After Disappearance During Police Operation in Redwood Forest, California
He wasn’t just a dog.
He was Officer Diesel, a six-year-old Chihuahua with a badge on his chest and courage far bigger than his tiny body.
Tonight, the San Francisco Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its most devoted K-9 officers.
Diesel was found near the edge of the Redwood Forest nearly a week after he disappeared during a high-risk police operation.
But Diesel was never defined by his size.
