How to look like a supermodel! Shots of apple cider vinegar, intermittent fasting and £1,300 infrared light therapy are just some of the tricks Cindy Crawford, 60, and Claudia Schiffer, 55, use to look their best

They were the envy of every woman in the nineties when they dominated magazine covers and runways.

And now, supermodels Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer have revealed how they maintain their age-defying looks.

It doesn’t come easy as both ladies have strict routines they adhere to in order to ensure they look their best.

Cindy, who shocked fans with her youthful appearance after turning 60 in February, recently gave a glimpse into her daily routine.

The model documented her daily 2.5-hour morning regime on TikTok. Captioning the rare glimpse into her life, she gushed: ‘I love my morning routine – sets me up to have a great day!’

Beginning each day at 6AM, the video started with Cindy waking up and stretching in bed, clad in a pink satin chemise.

After rolling out of bed, she then dry-brushed her enviably long and toned legs, while listening to an audiobook of the Bible.

Revealing the first step in maintaining her radiant and ageless complexion, she explained at 6.30AM she sits down to gently scrape her face with a gua sha tool and the Skin Softening Cleanser from her own brand, Meaningful Beauty.

She launched the skincare range over 20 years ago with French doctor Jean-Louis Sebagh and says using her products makes her skin feel tighter and brighter, giving her the ageless glow people always ask about.

‘When you feel good about yourself and feel confident, you hold your head a little higher and that’s what people really see,’ she told People as she noted a key ingredient in the range is Charentais cantaloupe extract.

Cindy has previously pointed out that she doesn’t stray from Meaningful Beauty’s sun-protectant moisturiser, which has anti-ageing properties, saying: ‘It melts into the skin, so it works great under makeup.’

After seeing to her face, she next tends to the rest of her body by donning a Capillus Laser Cap – which uses red-light to support hair growth – while sitting down on a Bemer mat – which uses micro-currents to increase blood flow and improve muscles.

She also gently massages her face with The Wand by Keren Bartov, which costs £1,650 and uses red light to help tighten and rejuvenate the skin.

And at 7AM she bravely takes a shot of Fire Cider apple cider vinegar, shuddering at the stronger taste, before heading out to the stunning beachside backyard of her $10 million Miami Beach home, where she lives with husband Randy Gerber.

After walking barefoot on grass ‘for grounding’, Cindy then slipped off her lilac dressing gown to take a 15 minute dip in her Jacuzzi.

Relaxing in the water, the mother-of-two smiled at the camera as she displayed her flawless makeup-free complexion, before doing some more barefoot walking in the grass.

She then slipped her incredible figure in a skintight gym set and made herself a coffee with collagen, before a brief stop in her office to check her emails.

At 8AM Cindy headed to her private and lavish gym and displayed her impressive flexibility as she began her workout by stretching on the mat.

After a quick hang on an inversion table, she moved to a mini-trampoline to get her heart rate pumping and her muscles warmed up before the arrival of her private Pilates instructor, finishing the video with the words: ‘And that’s my morning!’

Previously sharing her love of Pilates, Cindy said she found it ‘very opening and feminine’ and liked that she was able to adapt it to suit any aches or pains in her body,

‘Currently, I do Pilates twice a week on a reformer, which I love,’ she said on the Him & Her Show in 2024.

‘I’ve only been doing that for the last 10 years, and I have to say, because I sometimes get lower back stuff, even if my back’s hurting, I can do Pilates because I can modify it.

‘And I have never gotten hurt doing Pilates. I know it can be really, really hard, too, but I find it very… opening and feminine in a way.’

Cindy credits her packed-daily routine of skincare, dry brushing, intermittent fasting and working out for looking and feeling her best.

After her years of storming runways in the late 80s and 90s, she has learned all the tips and tricks to enhance her natural beauty.

She’s stated in the past that her ‘go-to workout would be 20 minutes of cardio then weights’ three times a week followed up with 30 minutes to an hour of bicep curls, weights, squats and lunges.

Another anti-ageing wellness secret Cindy swears by to keep wrinkles at bay is to sit in her home sauna.

When it comes to her diet, the star aims to avoid gluten ingredients like pasta or bread and also largely steers clear of sugar, prioritising whole foods over packaged or processed.

Meanwhile, fellow supermodel Claudia has made looking beautiful on the catwalk appear effortless for decades – but her evening routine proves it is anything but.

The 55-year-old, known as the ‘supermodel’s supermodel’ due to her dedication to the craft, has revealed her 12 meticulous rituals before bed.

Like many of us she says she cleans the kitchen and lets the dog out for a final toilet break before reading a good book and settling down for an early night.

However, that is where for most of us the similarities end.

Throughout the evening she takes at least six supplements and ensures there is time for a 20-minute lie down on a £1,300 infrared light therapy mat to keep her ‘grounded’ and relaxed. The therapy involves using wavelenghts of light to treat pain, reduce inflammation and increase circulation.

Her evening meal is organic grass-fed meat or fresh fish with salad or ‘veggies’ followed by a post-dinner treat of sheep’s yoghurt with three types of powdered magnesium.

There is no bed before a long bath in Epsom salts and rubbing stem cell serum and other ‘very natural’ lotions into her face.

A quick final glance at her vitals and step count on her Oura smart ring is the last thing she does before kissing her husband Sir Matthew Vaughn and going to sleep.

Claudia set out her evening routine in an interview with the EE72 fashion and lifestyle website run by former Vogue editor Edward Enninful and his sister Akua.

The star revealed that when she’s not away working, Zoom calls are scheduled to be over by late afternoon so she is free when her teenage daughter Cosima comes in from school.

They then sit down together for a 6pm-sharp dinner.

Before lifting a fork to her mouth, Claudia’s meal begins with a starter of amino acid tablets with added protein to help the married mother-of-three recover from her daily gym session.

‘I tuck into a dinner of grass-fed organic meat or salmon/anchovies with crisp salad or veggies’, she says, adding that this is often combined with a video call to her eldest daughter Clementine in New York and son Caspar in London.

Pudding is a bowl of organic sheep’s yoghurt laced with Beeya – a blend of three different magnesium powders meant to improve sleep. Nuts roasted in the oven are also mixed in.

More supplements follow, this time pure Ashwagandha, a medicinal herb from a bush grown in the Middle East and North Africa. It is said to help with anxiety and stress as well as aiding sleep.

This is washed down with a cup of chamomile tea from the exclusive Daylesford Organic brand.

Then her beauty routine begins, popping on a £275 infrared mask or perhaps sitting in front of a £500 infrared screen to fire restorative light on to her face while her daughter is in the shower.
