- Prince Harry is determined to meet his father, King Charles, next month, but Meghan Markle is not welcome in the one-on-one meeting.
- Prince William is reportedly “too hurt” to consider reconciliation with Prince Harry at this point, with deep-seated issues stemming from public attacks on Kate Middleton and Princess Diana.
- Despite potential progress between King Charles and Prince Harry, recent reports indicate that William and Harry will attend events together but will not interact, with William harboring strong feelings of resentment towards his brother.
King Charles and Prince Harry are allegedly on the road to reconciliation. After senior aides for both met recently, it was reported that this was the first step and that lines of communication between the two were now open. But there have been questions about what kind of allowances Prince Harry would have to make to be welcomed back into the British royal family. Now reports indicate there’s one particular thing that came up.
Closer revealed that Prince Harry is determined to meet his father, King Charles, next month. But there are conditions. “Prince Harry is also set to return to the UK in September for the WellChild Awards – and while he failed to secure a private audience with King Charles during his last visit, he’s determined not to miss the opportunity this year.”
The report indicates the King is willing to talk, but he would rather it be a one-on-one meeting, adding that “Meghan is simply not welcome.” Indeed, “This is about father and son, not about the Sussex brand,” an insider told the publication. However, this doesn’t seem to include William.
Former BBC royal correspondent Michael Cole told Times Radio he believes William is “too hurt” to consider reconciliation, at least at this point. According to the Daily Express US, the expert said, “I don’t believe Prince William is ready to speak to his brother, the hurt is too deep, it is too real, it is too raw.”

And in a new wrinkle, according to Cole, “Harry has done something which William will find extremely hard to forgive….men don’t like their significant other being insulted.” That’s right, according to the expert, at the root of William’s issues with Harry is not just the fact that he has given many interviews that someone like William might consider too revealing, but also that “Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have said unkind, cruel, unrealistic, and untrue things about the Princess of Wales, Kate.”
Closer also revealed that, “Harry desperately wants his brother’s involvement, or at least his blessing – and he wants to be able to return to his homeland without fearing tension or drama, as he strongly feels it’s what their mother would have wanted. But William is hesitant. He doesn’t want Meghan anywhere near a project about Diana. For him, it should only be about the brothers. William’s still hurt by the public attacks and sees no reason to patch things up on Harry’s timetable.”
This all comes recent reports indicated that both William and Harry would attend Peter Phillips’ wedding, but would not interact. A source from the palace exclusively told Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop that the family dispute is “still active and raw.” And that there are rules for the two attending. “They made it clear: no photos, no interactions, and absolutely no sitting next to one another,” the source added.
This makes sense considering other recent reports from The Daily Beast that, according to a friend of William, “He absolutely f—ing hates” his brother. That same source also told the outlet that. “William will never, ever forgive Harry for what he has done. Charles is the king; he can do what he likes. But make no mistake: William believes with every fiber of his being that giving Harry and Meghan back any royal imprimatur is a huge mistake.”
Prince Harry and King Charles might be on the road to reconciliation, but it looks like Harry’s chances of patching things over with his brother are slim to none at this point.
Meghan Markle Accidentally Reveals Too Much About Prince Harry
Meghan Markle recently shared an unexpected tidbit about Prince Harry that might just change how you see the royal family’s most laid-back member.
The Duchess of Sussex dropped a bombshell while filming season two of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, and it involves her husband’s rather particular food preferences.
Meghan Markle return sparks setback for Prince William and Princess Kate
On August 12, the 44-year-old royal released the first official trailer for the upcoming season, giving fans a sneak peek into her kitchen adventures with surprise guests, including renowned chef José Andrés.
“You know who doesn’t like lobster? My husband,” Meghan casually revealed about Prince Harry, 40, while cooking alongside the celebrity chef.
Andrés’ response was accurate, “And you married him anyway?” he questioned, prompting Meghan to burst into laughter..
The moment has social media buzzing with one burning question — who doesn’t love lobster? Comment sections across social media platforms are filled with fans expressing their shock at Harry’s seafood stance.
Some are joking about it being grounds for divorce, while others are defending his right to dislike the fancy crustacean.
This food confession isn’t Meghan’s first time spilling about her family’s eating habits. The duchess has been candid about what actually happens in their kitchen at home.
Speaking with People, she opened up about what her husband and kids will eat. “My husband and Archie both love fried eggs,” she said.
“There’s a lot of bacon around here. And then sometimes you don’t have time for all that, and you just put a frozen waffle in the toaster and call it a day. And there’s no shame in that either.”
The new trailer revealed that season two will premiere on Tuesday, August 26, promising even more entertaining moments and celebrity appearances. The second season of With Love, Meghan will feature an impressive lineup including Chrissy Teigen, Tan France, David Chang, Samin Nosrat, Christina Tosi, Clare Smyth, Jay Shetty and Radhi Devlukia.
The lobster revelation comes at an exciting time for the couple’s media ventures. The new trailer dropped just after Meghan and Harry’s partnership with Netflix was extended into a multi-year, first-look deal, signaling more content to come.
“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand,” Meghan said in a statement. “My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.”

Prince Harry signals he’s ready for peace with the royal family
The Duke of Sussex is trying a new tactic.
Prince Harry has reportedly extended a significant olive branch to the Royal Family: sharing his upcoming schedule in advance with Buckingham Palace — and even Prince William’s court at Kensington Palace — in a move insiders are calling a potential turning point in his long-strained relationship with the monarchy.
A report by royal editor Charlotte Griffiths for The Mail on Sunday revealed that the Duke of Sussex is now offering to coordinate his official diary with the Royal Family in an effort to prevent future publicity conflicts, like the one earlier this month when coverage of Harry’s unannounced trip to Angola appeared to eclipse Queen Camilla’s 78th birthday portrait in the British press.
Photos of Harry walking through a cleared minefield in Angola — echoing the iconic 1997 images of his late mother, Princess Diana — dominated front pages across the U.K. According to The Mail, the timing wasn’t coordinated with the palace, and the overlap reportedly caused some frustration behind the scenes
Now, sources say Harry has agreed to draw up a schedule of his engagements to be shared with royal aides — a move described as a “significant gesture” by a palace insider quoted in the Mail report. The goal is to remove conflicts from schedules and restore some sense of harmony, especially as the King continues cancer treatment and royal engagements remain closely monitored.
Before a pivotal series of meetings of the royals’ aides in London, “conflicts of interest or clashes of publicity were relished and even perhaps encouraged by the Sussexes,” the source said, according to The Mail. “Now, Harry has shifted into a new way of thinking.”
Those meetings included a now-publicized balcony rendezvous between the Sussexes’ chief communications officer Meredith Maines, the King’s press chief Tobyn Andreae, and Harry’s U.K.-based press officer Liam Maguire — all seen together at a private London club, per photos published by The Mail earlier this month.
While Harry remains based in California and reportedly “still doesn’t like being controlled by the Royal machinery,” insiders say this new openness marks the first time since 2020 that he’s been willing to share his movements with Prince William’s team.
It’s not just about clearing the calendar. Harry’s trip to Angola carried deep personal meaning. He visited the same village his mother had once highlighted during her landmark landmine advocacy trip — now mostly cleared thanks to ongoing efforts by the Halo Trust. In a statement posted on Sussex.com, Harry said, “As a father to young children, it breaks my heart to see innocent children still living and playing next to minefields.”
The Mail notes that during the trip, Harry spoke Portuguese, gave safety lessons to local children, and repeated calls for landmine education — but the uncoordinated timing once again led to headlines that left the royal press office scrambling.

This isn’t the only recent case of overlapping royal coverage involving Team Sussex. Meghan Markle’s social media rebrand and behind-the-scenes content about her home life has also drawn tabloid attention, sometimes dwarfing coverage of official royal engagements.
According to The Mail, King Charles — who is known to prefer careful scheduling and balanced media coverage — has long bristled at overlapping engagements among family members. While no one is suggesting Harry’s schedule will be subject to royal approval, sharing it is seen as a crucial first step toward reconciliation — particularly between father and son.
Sources close to Harry told The Mail that although a September meetup may be “wishful thinking,” the two sides are “moving in the right direction.” Harry will return to London in late September for a WellChild charity event, and while he reportedly won’t visit Balmoral, there’s a chance he could cross paths with the King during one of Charles’ planned summer trips to London for medical appointments.
In a recent BBC interview, Harry hinted at the urgency behind a potential reunion, remarking, “I don’t know how much longer my father has.”
Camilla Wants Charles to ‘Put a Stop’ to William ‘Creating Issues’ in His Reconciliation With Harry
King Charles and Prince Harry are on the road to reconciliation. That much was made obvious by the fact that senior aides for the two recently met in London. It might not be settled yet, but there’s a desire to move forward on both of their parts. Reports, however, indicate Prince William might not be on board with this reconciliation. And now, sources are saying that Queen Camilla is urging the King to put a stop to William’s interference.
Ian Pelham Turner told Mirror US, “Charles has great humanity, and I think he just needed the corners smoothed out, and I think that’s what Camilla has done more than anything.” The former royal photographer was talking not just about King Charles’ attempts to reunite the family, but also in general. He put emphasis on Camilla wanting Charles to “put a stop” to the issues william was creating in the reconciliation with Harry.
“I think what is happening at the moment, and it’s just my inkling, there’s nothing I can sort of prove, and say, ‘this is the case,’ but I get the feeling at the moment, that she’s seeing William trying to create issues and she’s told Charles to stop it,” he added about Camilla.
He also praised the King and Queen. “I want Charles to have his time, I get it, I think in a lot of ways, he is a very good King, I really do, and I think, where he’s come in his life now with Camilla by his side, Camilla is a much stronger person, I think, for him.”
Though recognizing the chunk of the population that still doesn’t approve of Camilla, he said she’s actually really helped King Charles. “When I look at Camilla nowadays, although she’s still vilified by women over 50, because they remember Diana, I think in a lot of ways, she’s actually taught Charles how to be human.”
Recent reports seem to support the impression that Queen Camilla has been a positive influence on the King. According to The Mail on Sunday, the Queen has convinced the King to eat something at lunch, something he hasn’t done for most of his life, in an effort to take care of his health due to his cancer treatment. “With some reluctance, he now has something to eat at lunchtime – a snack, really. He now eats half an avocado to sustain him through the day. It’s important, particularly if you have got an illness.”

Queen Camilla’s influence could prove instrumental for the relationship between King Charles and Prince Harry, particularly as reports indicate William is not budging on his brother. The Daily Beast reported that, according to a friend of William, “He absolutely f—ing hates” his brother Harry. That same source also told the outlet that. “William will never, ever forgive Harry for what he has done. Charles is the king; he can do what he likes. But make no mistake: William believes with every fiber of his being that giving Harry and Meghan back any royal imprimatur is a huge mistake.”

Queen Camilla Demands King Charles ‘Put a Stop’ to Prince William ‘Creating Issues’ — Report
A former royal photographer claims that Queen Camilla is concerned about Prince William “trying to create issues” in the monarchy. As a result, she’s pressuring her husband, King Charles, to tell his son to back off.
While praising Charles for his leadership, photographer Ian Pelham Turner suggested that the British Royal Family needs to set the record straight on who’s in charge.
“Charles has great humanity,” he said. “I think he just needed the corners smoothed out, and I think that’s what Camilla has done more than anything … There’s nothing I can sort of prove, and say, ‘This is the case.’ But I get the feeling … that [Camilla sees] William trying to create issues, and she’s told Charles to stop it.”

Is Prince William “creating issues” in the monarchy?
Furthermore, the former royal photographer told The Mirror US, “I want Charles to have his time … In a lot of ways, he is a very good king … In his life now, with Camilla by his side, Camilla is a much stronger person, I think, for him.”
Before leaving the employ of the Royal Family, Ian covered Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 2011. He remembers that when Charles and William arrived at the church, they rushed right inside without first acknowledging the throng outside. The crowd of 10,000 royal fans was clearly disappointed to not get at least a smile and a wave.
But after the ceremony, when Charles and Camilla were sitting in their carriage, the former employee saw her turn to her husband and urge him to “Wave.” Following his wife’s instruction, Charles smiled and waved to the crowd, drawing cheers.
While it might not seem a big thing, people notice the small things and it affects his public image. Ian thinks Camilla has a way of helping Charles to be a better person. Despite the fact that the Queen is “still vilified by women over 50, because they remember [Princess] Diana,” Camilla has “actually taught Charles how to be human.”
When Ian first met Charles, he was still married to Diana. He recognizes how much things have changed since then.
Recently, Charles’ representatives met with Prince Harry’s reps at a members only club to discuss Harry’s possible reconciliation with the Royal Family. Rather than having a closed-door meeting, the group met on an outdoor balcony, in clear view of photographers. Ian sees Camilla’s hand in this new openness and thinks the public should know.
“The balcony shot, was the first shot across the bows,” he commented. “A lot of influence probably came from Camilla … It’s been rumored for a while, that William has been trying to push … that he’s the driving force behind the throne. And I think Charles should be.”
King Charles gave Queen Camilla the least relatable birthday gift ever
It is not the kind of thing the average person gets to ring in their 78th year (or any year for that matter).
On the eve of her 78th birthday, King Charles appointed his wife to a prestigious new role: Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom. The honorary Royal Navy title, originally created by King Henry VIII in 1513, was officially bestowed during a ceremony aboard the HMS Astute on July 16, making Queen Camilla both the first woman and the first royal ever to hold the position, according to People.
Camilla, who has served as Lady Sponsor of the HMS Astute since naming the vessel in 2007, marked the occasion with a ceremonial visit to the submarine at HM Naval Base Devonport. The event also celebrated the end of the ship’s first 15-year commission — the longest of any Royal Navy sub.
As part of the festivities, Queen Camilla inspected a Guard of Honor, posed for photos with crew members, and was presented with a burgee (a special naval pennant) recognizing her continued support. She also delivered a heartfelt speech at a garden party for the ship’s company and their families, where she praised the submarine’s accomplishments and called for a celebratory toast with a playful nautical phrase: “Splice the Mainbrace!”
In a statement, First Sea Lord General Sir Gwyn Jenkins said the appointment “reflects the high regard in which Her Majesty is held by all of us” and will deepen her ties to the Royal Navy.
Camilla has long supported Britain’s armed forces in honorary roles and is also the sponsor of the HMS Prince of Wales and Commodore-in-Chief of the Royal Navy Medical Service.
She’ll officially turn 78 on July 17 — and now she’ll be celebrating as the highest-ranking woman in the Royal Navy.
