All puppies deserve to have a loving home and forever humans who will spoil them with love.

Sadly, countless puppies live at narrow shelter kennels waiting for staff and volunteers to give them much-needed affection.

Mason and his puppy siblings craved human interaction and love ever since they arrived at BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions, a shelter in Houston, Texas.

Crammed in the kennel, the puppies comforted each other and didn’t let themselves despair. They dreamed big dreams and hoped to catch the eye of potential adopters.  

Unfortunately, things changed when the puppies were placed on the euthanasia list.

Mason’s Fight For Freedom

Mason and his siblings sensed that something was wrong.

More than ever before, they longed to leave the shelter for good and start a brand-new life in a loving home.

A kind-hearted woman named Madeline is a dedicated foster mom and euthanasia list volunteer at the Houston shelter. 

She often meets the dogs who are scheduled for euthanasia and posts about them on her Instagram account, hoping to save their lives.

One day, while Madeline was walking through the shelter, Mason heard her voice. 

Determined to attract her attention, the puppy used all his energy and climbed through his slick feeder.

When Madeline saw him sticking out of the trough, she was stunned.

It seemed like he was fighting to get out of the kennel in order to save himself and his siblings from the terrible fate that awaited them.

Mason looked at Madeline with a concerned look on his face as if he was asking her to help him out.

Safe And Sound

The big-hearted woman made a video of the pup and posted it on her Instagram, hoping that a rescue would notice the puppies before it was too late.

“Do you know what gravity this puppy had to defy to do this? He is 2.4 pounds and climbed up his slick feeder, breaking all rules of physics. I truly have no idea how he did it but this guy is a freakin badass,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

Madeline’s followers were moved by Mason’s determination to climb out of the kennel and fight for a better future. 

The brave little puppy stole their hearts and they started rooting for him to get rescued.

Mason’s fight for freedom paid off. 4 Paws 4 Life, an animal rescue and boarding facility located in Denver, Colorado, noticed Mason and decided to step in.

The rescue pulled them out of the shelter and took them under their care.

Mason and his siblings are now safe and sound. Now, they are closer to getting the happy endings they always dreamed of.

I’m certain the furbabies will soon steal the hearts of wonderful humans who will love them to the moon and back.
