When a marriage faces challenges, most people turn to therapy or counseling — but Tehmeena Quintana chose a more unconventional path. Instead of walking away, she invited another woman into their relationship — a woman who looks just like her. What started as a bold experiment to save her marriage has now become a unique love story that defies traditional relationship norms.
She took this step to keep her husband’s attention focused at home.
Tehmeena Quintana was devastated when her husband, Bryant Quintana, cheated on her less than three years into their seemingly happy marriage. Hoping to find a solution, she considered an open marriage.
“Bryant hasn’t been faithful in the past,” Tehmeena admits. “I believe that if you’re with a man, you should do whatever it takes to make it work,” she explains. “I want to be with him for the rest of his life. Whatever he wants, whatever makes him happy, I will give it to him.”
Tehmeena Quintana decided to take an unconventional approach to save her marriage, turning to social media to find a lookalike to join her and Bryant in a polyamorous relationship.
“I did feel insecure when we were looking for a third,” Tehmeena admits. “But I knew it would keep Bryant’s attention at home. It’s fair to say I was specifically looking for a girl who looked like me because that’s what Bryant is attracted to.”
Her search eventually led her to Australian model Kyrah Johnson, who bore a striking resemblance to Tehmeena. Kyrah was enthusiastic about the idea and soon flew to New York to meet the couple in person.
The unconventional arrangement breathed new life into their relationship.
Kyrah reveals that their relationship is rooted in a strong friendship. Although unofficial, she has become a part of the marriage, and now all three partners share nearly every aspect of their lives.
Kyrah admits she loves how much she resembles Tehmeena. “When we go out in public, people always ask if we’re sisters or twins!” she says.
To emphasize their striking resemblance, the two women have even started wearing matching outfits, making their doppelgänger dynamic even more noticeable.
An open marriage isn’t always the right solution. Here’s the story of a couple who came to regret taking that path.
