Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion was hospitalized Tuesday night after falling ill during her appearance in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” on Broadway, according to reports.

According to Variety, Megan was forced to exit mid-show.

“During Tuesday night’s production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated,” her representative told Variety. “We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.”

People Magazine said Megan’s hairstylist took to X, writing, “everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital.”

The Houston native made her Broadway debut March 24 playing the role of Zidler. The play is scheduled to run through May 17 though her future with the production was not known Tuesday night.

The Musical” show at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City. According to one of the attendees, the production stopped mid-show.

Entertainment news correspondent Loren LoRosa wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that she was one of the spectators. According to her post, Stallion made a “few opening scene” appearances before the show was suddenly “stopped.” They “apologized” for the inconvenience and requested the audience to “stay inside and seated.” LoRosa’s tweet further mentioned, “I asked security if we’re safe .. they told us ‘for now, we’ll update you if anything changes.’”

Moreover, Stallion’s hairstylist, Kellon Deryck, also posted a line on X last night. He wrote, “Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital.” Meanwhile, PEOPLE reported that the 31-year-old’s spokesperson released a statement, updating on the situation.

They mentioned how Stallion felt “very ill” mid-show and was immediately rushed to a local hospital. “Her symptoms are currently being evaluated. We will share additional updates as more information becomes available,” they added.

Earlier, Stallion opened up about her Broadway debut in a statement. She stated that it was an “absolute honor” for her to join the production team. The rapper further mentioned, “I’ve always believed in pushing myself creatively, and theater is definitely a new opportunity that I’m excited to embrace.”
