The move comes months after the former couple confirmed their separation in September
Asubtle yet striking social media move from Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman’s daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban has sparked fresh speculation about family dynamics in the wake of the couple’s shock split.
The 17-year-old has unfollowed her father on Instagram, a quiet action that hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans closely watching developments following the end of one of Hollywood’s most enduring marriages.
Interestingly, Keith continues to follow his eldest daughter, a detail that has only added to the intrigue surrounding their current relationship.
The move comes months after the former couple confirmed their separation in September, bringing an end to their 19-year marriage, a union long seen as one of the entertainment industry’s most stable.
While the legal side of the split has reportedly been finalised behind closed doors, reports suggest the emotional aftermath is still playing out, particularly within the family.
Reports indicate that Keith’s relationship with both Sunday and her younger sister Faith Margaret Kidman Urban, 15, has been strained since the announcement, with the teenagers said to have grown closer to their mother in recent months.
Fuel was added to the fire when news emerged that the four-time Grammy winner had moved on with rising country artist Karley Scott Collins, 26.
The significant age gap between Keith, 58, and Karley, as well as the timing of the new relationship, has been widely discussed, particularly given that the singer supported him on his 2025 High and Alive World Tour following their 2024 duet Write One.
However, Karley herself recently shut down speculation about the seriousness of their romance after reports suggested the pair were already living together.
Sharing a screenshot of the claims on social media, she dismissed them outright, writing: “Y’all, this is absolutely RIDICULOUS and untrue,” alongside a cry-laughing emoji.
Meanwhile Nicole recently opened up about their home life during a live event, HISTORYTalks, in Philadelphia, alongside former Today host Hoda Kotb.
The Babygirl actress revealed that she had a two-minute rule in place for Sunday and Faith that they are made to do every day.
“Both my daughters will kill me for saying this, but I’m like, ‘You need to hug [me] for two minutes a day,'” she said. “It releases certain chemicals in the body and everyone needs to be hugged for about two minutes a day. Did you know that?”
The star has a close bond with her daughters, who she called “extraordinary,” and loves nothing more than watching them grow into their own people. “[My mother] told me, ‘Don’t ever let anyone break your spirit,'” she added, explaining it was something she was now teaching her own children. Nicole also said that she and her daughters are “so close” and that they “talk about everything.”
Inside Keith Urban’s low-key job post-Nicole Kidman split
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman separated in September 2025 after 19 years of marriage, and finalized the divorce in January

Keith Urban played a sold-out show on a decidedly unusual stage in March, just two months after his divorce from Nicole Kidman was finalized. The country crooner, who was married to the Australian actress for 19 years, performed on the Top Shelf Country Cruise in early March in front of 1000 people headed from Florida to the Bahamas.
The cruise sailed between February 27 and March 6, and saw Keith join the likes of Riley Green, The Mavericks, Lauren Alaina and Chris Young as he graced the stage.
Passenger tickets were priced between $6,700 and $19,000 for a seven-day trip, which included Keith’s performance. The star previously revealed that he was happy to perform on any stage, as long as he connected with the audience in the process.
“I’ve always tried to create an experience that results in a certain reaction from the audience and a certain engagement from them,” he told Music Row. “That hasn’t changed for me. And the audience is as passionate, involved and engaged as ever.”
Keith has a reported net worth of $75 million, thanks to his sold-out tours and work on TV, while his ex-wife has a reported net worth of $250 million. Although their divorce was wrapped up in the courts in the span of four months, it was likely still a costly affair due to their large fortunes.
The father of two served as a judge on the Australian version of The Voice in 2012, 2021 and 2022, and a judge on American Idol between 2013 and 2016, which earned him a hefty paycheck.
He also owned several properties with Nicole, and their divorce documents revealed that they chose to split these assets in an agreed-upon way. Nicole and Keith also agreed that they would not need to pay child support or alimony to each other.
As for how they would split custody of their two daughters, Sunday and Faith will spend 306 days of the year with their “primary residential parent”, Nicole, while Keith will get 59 days with them in total.
