Keanu Reeves Parts Ways With Longtime Manager (Exclusive)
The ‘John Wick’ star has made changes to how he runs his business, including moving on from his rep Meredith Wechter at Range Media.
Keanu Reeves has parted ways with his longtime manager, multiple sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.
The John Wick and Matrix star had been repped by Meredith Wechter at Range Media Partners. Insiders say Reeves has made multiple changes to how he runs his business and changing management was one of those decisions recently.
“Keanu is not only an exceptional talent but a one of a kind human being. I wish him well and I am so proud of the incredibly transformative work we have done together over the past nine years,” Wechter says.
Wechter joined Range this year from Michael Sugar’s management company Sugar23 and had previously been an agent at ICM and then WME. The managing partner’s client list at Range includes Josh Gad, Jeremy Strong, Diane Lane and Night Agent star Gabriel Basso, among many others.
On the agency side, Reeves is still said to be repped by a team at WME, where he has been since 2016 after leaving CAA. And he’s still repped by attorney Scott Sims at law firm Ziffren Brittenham.
Reeves made his return to the Wick-verse this year in the Ana de Armas-starrer Ballerina, Lionsgate’s spinoff that grossed $132 million globally since its June bow. And he features in Aziz Ansari’s directorial debut Good Fortune, another Lionsgate feature that’ll bow at the Toronto Film Festival this September.
He’s taken the call to return for John Wick-related projects, including the fifth installment in the franchise from director Chad Stahelski and an animated prequel. Also on his busy slate, he’s reteaming with Speed co-star Sandra Bullock for an untitled romantic thriller at Amazon MGM that’s scripted by Noah Oppenheim. And he’ll star in Justin Lin‘s Netflix feature adaptation of BRZRKR, the comic Reeves’ co-created for Boom! Studios about an immortal warrior.
John Wick Star Keanu Reeves Reportedly Pays a Company a Few Thousand Dollars a Month to Get TikTok and Meta to Take Down Imitators
John Wick star Keanu Reeves reportedly pays a company a few thousand dollars a month to get the likes of TikTok and Meta to take down imitators.
In an in-depth article by The Hollywood Reporter, it was revealed that Reeves pays a company called Loti to issue tens of thousands of social media account takedowns each year.
The much-loved (“you’re breathtaking!”) star of The Matrix and Cyberpunk 2077, THR said, may be the most impersonated celebrity on the internet due to his blockbuster status and lack of official social media presence, which creates a mystique around his personal life.
Scammers are filling the void by creating fake images of Reeves appearing to issue political messages of all types, advertising dodgy products, and, in extreme cases, are creating fake Keanu Reeves accounts that build relationships with their victims to eventually convince them to pay them money. Reeves, it seems, is prime fodder for scam bait, and generative AI is making it easier and more convincing than ever.
Reeves isn’t alone in this, of course. Indeed, there have been a number of high-profile cases in which celebrities have complained publicly about fake adverts. In 2023, Tom Hanks warned fans that an AI version of his likeness was being used without his consent in an online advert for a dental plan. Last year, Morgan Freeman thanked fans who alerted him to AI-generated imitations of his voice online after a series of videos created by someone posing as his niece went viral.
And in May this year, Jamie Lee Curtis was forced to appeal to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg in an Instagram post because she couldn’t get the company to pull an AI-generated ad that featured her likeness for “some bullshit that I didn’t authorize, agree to or endorse.”
Alexandra Shannon, head of strategic development at CAA, told THR that there is increased concern about this issue among artists, and called for rules and regulations to prevent it from happening.
When he’s not paying companies to combat scammers, Keanu Reeves takes to the big-screen to show off his real-life combat skills. He recently cameoed in John Wick spinoff Ballerina. A film adaptation of BRZRKR, produced by and starring Reeves, is in the works for Netflix. And John Wick 5, once again starring Keanu Reeves, is in development, although we’re not sure when it will come out. Director Chad Stahelski recently said he’s still trying to work out how to make Keanu Reeves in John Wick 5 make sense given the ending of 4.
Keanu Reeves Debuts a Bold New Look — And Fans Are Divided
Keanu Reeves has been turning heads this year — and not just for his roles or red carpet charm. From surprise public appearances to a noticeable shift in his signature style, the beloved actor has sparked plenty of conversation among fans and media alike.
A special moment at the VES Awards

In February 2025, Reeves appeared at the Visual Effects Society (VES) Awards, presenting the prestigious VES Award for Creative Excellence to Shōgun actor and producer Hiroyuki Sanada. Known for his multiple Emmy wins and commanding performances, Sanada was honored with a lifetime achievement award.
The ceremony was filled with heartfelt moments, but Sanada’s down-to-earth acceptance speech charmed the audience even more. “Y’all do some amazing here,” he joked.

A rare public outing with Alexandra Grant
Fast-forward to April 2025, and Keanu Reeves was spotted making a rare public appearance with longtime girlfriend Alexandra Grant. The couple, known for keeping their relationship largely private, were seen enjoying an evening at a restaurant.
However, it wasn’t just their affectionate outing that had people talking—Keanu’s look had evolved too.
A noticeable style shift

It seems Keanu and Alexandra are more than happy with their lives and couldn’t care less about the beard. However, many fans weren’t thrilled with the actor’s new look and started criticizing him. One person wrote, “Cool guy. Great man. But, ugh on the beard growing out. Just my opinion. Doesn’t really matter.” Another person felt that Reeves had let himself go and looked older than his age.
Someone suggested that the actor is just relaxing between projects and will shave again once filming starts, “You know he’s chilling and not doing anything when his beard look like that, he only shaves for work.” The most devoted fans, however, don’t pay attention to such trivial things and believe the actor always looks great, “With or with out the beard Keanu is still handsome gentleman.”

Keanu Reeves is truly one of the most beloved actors in Hollywood. Here are 10 facts about him you might not know.
Keanu Reeves and the Silent Love Behind the Spotlight
Hollywood is full of high-profile romances, yet Keanu Reeves has chosen a different path—quiet, simple, and filled with sorrow, healing, and quiet resilience.
First Love and an Unspeakable Tragedy
Keanu Reeves, the star of The Matrix and John Wick, once shared a deep and intimate relationship with actress and production assistant Jennifer Syme in the late 1990s. The two were genuinely in love and had planned a future together.
In 1999, tragedy struck when their daughter, Ava Archer Syme-Reeves, was stillborn at eight months of pregnancy. The heartbreaking loss caused deep strain in their relationship, and just over a year later, in 2001, Jennifer Syme died in a car accident. Keanu fell into a long period of grief and depression. He rarely spoke about the pain, but fans could feel it in his distant gaze and the quiet way he carried himself through life.
Two Decades of Solitude and Silence
For over 20 years following that tragedy, Keanu Reeves remained publicly single. He often appeared alone at events, lived modestly, and avoided the extravagance typical of celebrities. He took public transportation, donated anonymously, and supported his colleagues behind the scenes. These small but meaningful acts of kindness earned him the title of “the last gentleman of Hollywood.”
At times, the media speculated about possible romantic relationships with his female co-stars, but Keanu never confirmed or denied any rumors. His respect for privacy became one of the defining elements of his character.
Love Returns: Alexandra Grant – The Quiet Companion
In 2019, the world was surprised when Keanu Reeves publicly introduced his girlfriend, artist Alexandra Grant, who is three years older than him. Their relationship blossomed from years of friendship and collaboration on artistic projects. Alexandra doesn’t fit the glamorous Hollywood mold. She wears her natural gray hair, leads an intellectual life, and exudes authenticity—qualities that resonated deeply with Keanu.
They’ve since appeared hand-in-hand at several public events, always exchanging gentle, respectful glances. In a rare interview, Keanu said: “I’m very happy to have Alexandra in my life.”
Marriage Without a Ring?
Despite being together for years, Keanu and Alexandra have not officially announced a marriage. But for Keanu, love doesn’t necessarily need to be defined by legal documents. He once said: “Love is presence. It’s waking up and seeing that the person is still there. It’s the peace in being silent and still feeling heard.”
For someone who has lost so much, simply allowing himself to love and be loved again is a profound form of healing.
Quiet, Yet Profound
Keanu Reeves’ love life isn’t loud or flashy, but it touches the hearts of millions. He may not be the archetype of classic romance, yet he embodies a love that is real, enduring, and brave enough to survive heartbreak.
In a world where love is often commercialized, Keanu reminds us that there are those who love deeply — but choose to love in silence.
Keanu Reeves – The Silent Hero of Hollywood and His Unstoppable Cinematic Journey
From rebellious youth icons in the ’90s to the lone warrior of the 21st century, Keanu Reeves is not just a movie star — he is a symbol of resilience, humility, and timeless appeal.
Humble Beginnings and an Unconventional Charm
Born in 1964 in Beirut, Lebanon and raised in Canada, Keanu Reeves showed early promise in acting despite never receiving formal dramatic training. With a unique look — blending a gentle Eastern aura with rugged Hollywood edges — Keanu didn’t fit the mold of the typical “pretty boy” actor, but his presence was magnetic.
His early appearance in River’s Edge (1986) marked his arrival in Hollywood, but it was Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989) that cemented him as a quirky youth icon of his generation.
‘Speed’ and ‘The Matrix’ – Two Defining Milestones
In 1994, Keanu exploded onto the action scene with Speed, starring alongside Sandra Bullock. The high-octane thriller didn’t just break box office records — it defined his cool, minimal-dialogue action style.
But the true turning point came in 1999 with The Matrix. As Neo — “The One” in a digital, mind-bending universe — Keanu became a global icon. Under the direction of the Wachowski siblings, The Matrix transcended action to become a cultural, philosophical, and technological phenomenon.
A Career of Quiet Persistence and Reinvention
After achieving massive fame, Keanu didn’t chase commercial blockbusters. Instead, he explored quieter, more thoughtful projects such as The Lake House, A Scanner Darkly, Constantine, and Street Kings. His career went through a period of perceived slowdown, but Keanu stayed true to his artistic vision.
He also made his directorial debut with Man of Tai Chi (2013), showcasing his deep respect for martial arts and Asian cinema.
John Wick – A Legendary Comeback at 50
In 2014, Keanu staged one of Hollywood’s most impressive comebacks with John Wick. Playing a retired assassin pulled back into the underworld after the death of his dog — a final gift from his late wife — Keanu redefined action cinema. With sleek choreography, a minimalist tone, and surprising emotional depth, John Wick became a cult phenomenon.
The franchise has since expanded to four successful films (as of 2023), each pushing the boundaries of action and solidifying Keanu’s place as an ageless screen legend.
The Star Who Shuns the Spotlight
What sets Keanu apart isn’t just his roles, but the way he lives. Humble, generous, and free from scandal, he leads a simple, almost monastic life. While many celebrities flaunt their lifestyles, Keanu continues to live modestly — often spotted on the subway, reading books, practicing martial arts, and donating in secret.
He stays off social media, speaks only when necessary, and treats everyone with genuine respect — from co-stars to fans and crew members alike.
Conclusion: A Legacy Beyond the Screen
Keanu Reeves may not be Hollywood’s most technically trained actor, but he is undoubtedly one of its most beloved and respected figures. His career is a testament to perseverance, authenticity, and the quiet power of a beautiful soul.
From Neo to John Wick, Keanu doesn’t just play heroes — he is one, both on screen and in real life.
The Keanu Reeves Journey: Why ‘John Wick’ Hits Different
Keanu Reeves, he’s just got this way of landing roles that stick with you. Seriously, think about it. From being Ted “Theodore” Logan in those Bill & Ted movies – pure good vibes – to completely blowing our minds as Neo in The Matrix franchise, he’s given us some truly unforgettable characters. But honestly, if you ask a lot of people these days, his John Wick gig? That’s probably the one that’s grabbed their hearts the most, and it might even be a little surprising. This whole hitman legend, from the first film to the latest ones and even the Ballerina spinoff, it’s just taken off like crazy.
And guess what? The John Wick story isn’t done. Nope, Reeves is actually going to be back for John Wick 5. It’s really happening. It just shows how much this character means, and how dedicated Keanu is. He’s always been one of the nicest, most down-to-earth folks in Hollywood, and he’s totally blown away, and super grateful, that he’s been playing Wick for over a decade now. He’s definitely keen to see where the whole thing goes next, for the franchise and for John himself. (Click on the media bar below to hear Keanu Reeves.)
Keanu Reeves to Host, Exec Produce Docuseries on the Birth of the Cadillac Formula 1 Team in the U.S.
After a dream start for Brad Pitt’s ‘F1: The Movie,’ the goal of the show, made with All3Media’s North One, is to “showcase what it takes to participate in one of the most exclusive sports arenas in the world.”
With exclusive access to the Cadillac Formula 1 Team, owned by Mark Walter and Thomas Tull’s TWG Motorsports and General Motors, “the series traces the creation of the sport’s newest and uniquely American team as it prepares for its debut at the 2026 FIA Formula 1 World Championship season opener in Melbourne,” the producers said on Wednesday. “Reeves rejoins the production team from North One with his own KR+SH production company for this new series, serving as host and executive producer mere months after his International Emmy-award win for the acclaimed Disney+ docuseries Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story.”
Developed by Emmy-award-winning director and executive producer Simon Hammerson and three-time BAFTA-winning executive producer Neil Duncanson, the docuseries promises “to capture the ultimate story of sporting jeopardy in the high-octane world of Formula 1 and offer audiences a trackside seat for the whole ride,” according to the creative team.
“I’m very honoured and excited to be a part of telling the remarkable Cadillac Formula 1 Team story and its incredible journey into the world of Formula 1 racing,” said Reeves. “Our goal with the docuseries is to bring audiences into the heart of this journey and showcase what it takes to participate in one of the most exclusive sports arenas in the world.”
In the new show, audiences will get “an intimate look at the unique challenges of assembling a competitive team on an accelerated timeline and receive a first-hand account of the vision behind establishing a distinctly American presence in a sport long dominated by European powerhouses,” North One said. “By documenting the challenges, setbacks, drive, and determination required to build a new contender in Formula 1, the series will captivate both motorsport fans and viewers interested in stories of resilience, cultural aspiration, and the pursuit of ambitious goals. The story will also explore the journey to build the first American-based team amidst the backdrop of Formula 1’s continuing growth with audiences in the U.S. and around the world.”
The new team looking to join the pinnacle of motorsports is happy to let audiences peek under the hood. “This is a story of bold ambition and relentless drive,” said Dan Towriss, CEO of TWG Motorsports and the Cadillac Formula 1 Team. “We’re honored to work with Keanu, whose passion and knowledge of racing runs deep, and proud to partner with General Motors on this incredible story. We have an opportunity to welcome a new generation of fans to Formula 1, and Keanu’s creativity is the perfect spark to ignite that journey.”
Every Keanu Reeves Sequel, Ranked From Worst To Best
However, his biggest franchise came over a decade later with The Matrix. It isn’t just his own franchises that Reeves has seen sequel roles in, as he has also joined others in sequels. He took on a role in the fourth Toy Story movie and the third Sonic movie, while launching his most successful franchise with John Wick.
The worst-received movie in the Matrix franchise was the third one, with Matrix Revolutions supposedly ending Neo’s (Keanu Reeves) story as the Chosen One to save the world from the machines. The film dropped the franchise to a low $427.3 million at the box office, and $139.3 million domestically, which was the worst of the series to that point.
Part of this came from disappointment with the second movie, but it was more than that. Reeves was still great playing Neo in this sequel. However, critics complained about The Matrix: Revolutions’ weaker philosophical arguments than the second movie delivered and there wasn’t enough of the groundbreaking action that made the first movie revolutionary.
Keanu Reeves and Girlfriend Alexandra Grant Step Out Together for Racing Event in Italy
The MotoGP™ Grand Prix: Brembo Grand Prix of Italy is not the first time the longtime couple have attended motorcycle races together
Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant are off to the races.
The couple, who have been linked since 2011 and made their romance public in 2019, stepped out together in Scarperia, Italy at MotoGP™ Grand Prix: Brembo Grand Prix of Italy on Sunday, June 22.
The Matrix star, 60, kept things casual in a dark jacket and white t-shirt, while his visual artist girlfriend, 52, wore a lavender blazer and white top. The duo matched in caps, with Reeves sporting one from the custom motorcycle company he co-founded, ARCH Motorcycle.
It isn’t the first time Reeves and Grant have enjoyed a race together. They attended the MotoGP Liqui Moly Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland in July 2024, even waving the checkered flag at the finish line.
The John Wick star and Grant “have been on a couple of trips together on the motorcycle and we have enjoyed it,” Reeves told E! News in February. When asked about the keys to a strong relationship of six years, he gave a simple answer: “Sharing, communicating, you know, supporting.”
As for whether Grant would be the faster rider on a motorcycle, he responded, “I would imagine, yeah.”
Although the two keep their relationship private and are selective about where they spend their time, as a source told PEOPLE in 2024, Reeves and Grant have stepped out together at several red carpet events for his movies and her art shows. The couple also owns X Artists Books, a small imprint that they founded in 2017.

Most recently they walked hand-in-hand on the carpet for the world premiere of Reeves’ newest screen project, From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, on June 3. Unlike their low-key appearances on the racetracks of the world, the pair were dressed for maximum glamour.
Ballerina is in theaters now. Also among Reeves’ upcoming projects is Aziz Ansari‘s comedy Good Fortune, which hits theaters on Oct. 17.
