A rescue golden retriever finally got to spend her first Christmas at home with her new loving family after being adopted—her reaction to getting her first ever gift has left internet users sobbing.

In a viral TikTok video shared in December under the username @remitheretriever, the pup is lying on her fluffy bed, opening her first ever Christmas present right under the tree, looking happy and carefree in her new home.

“Remi’s first Christmas opening presents under the tree after spending last Christmas in the shelter,” the caption says. “Her first real Christmas.”
