Angelina Jolie wows fans with dramatic hair transformation

Angelina Jolie debuted a brand new hairstyle while on the London set of her upcoming film, Anxious People, with Aimee Lou Wood

Angelina Jolie proved that she can pull off any look when she debuted a brand new hairstyle while filming her upcoming flick, Anxious People. The mother of six stunned in a light blonde bob while on set, wearing a white wrap shirt, an eye-catching gold brooch, capri pants and red lipstick to complete the look. She was filming in London alongside her co-stars, The White Lotus’ Aimee Lou Wood and Shrinking‘s Jason Segel, and was also joined on set by her eldest son, Maddox.

The film follows Angelina as an investment banker, Zara, who “begrudgingly finds herself mingling with a group of strangers at an open house,” as per Deadline. “When a reluctant bank robber, Grace, inadvertently takes the group hostage, chaos and oversharing ensues, secrets are revealed, and literally nothing goes according to plan.”

Anxious People is based on the 2019 novel of the same name by Swedish author Fredrik Backman, and helmed by Marc Forster, who also directed Angelina’s ex-husband, Brad Pitt, in World War Z. This is not the first time that the Oscar winner has gone blonde; in 2002, she wore a Marilyn Monroe-inspired haircut in Life or Something Like It as TV reporter Lanie Kerrigan. She has sported blonde locks in recent months, steadily transforming from her natural brunette to a honeyed hue.

Working mom

Maddox’s presence on set comes as the 24-year-old is taking on more roles in the film industry, after studying at Yonsei University in South Korea. He worked as an assistant director on Angelina’s films Maria and Without Blood, and as an executive producer for First They Killed My Father.

“I wanted him to research and I wanted him to help me, because of the child’s point of view, also he was very useful,” the star told Variety of her son, whom she adopted from Cambodia in 2002. “Just to sit on set and look over and see him with his countrymen, and see him creating and laughing and being Cambodian and being happy in his land. It was everything.”

She later told Entertainment Tonight that he was the perfect colleague on set and worked hard to tell the story right. “When we did our notes in the production meetings, his were always better than mine,” she said. “He’s very studious, but he’s got a wicked sense of humor and he’s very fun to be with.”

Her five other children, including Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 17, all prefer to stay out of the spotlight and work either behind the camera or far away from the entertainment industry. “My kids, I think some of them [want to work] off-camera, behind the scenes, but they really, really want to be – especially Shiloh – would really like to be private,” she said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “Not photographed, not on the thing. [Shiloh] most of all would like privacy.”

“[Fame] wasn’t their choice,” she added. “Some people are more comfortable in public, some people are comfortable on talk shows, and some people are not.” She shares all six of her children with Brad. The pair were together from 2004 to 2016, and their divorce was finalized in 2024.

The world has watched as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s six kids have grown up in the spotlight, and it seems that their youngest, Vivienne, is the latest to go solo at just 16 years old.

The teen looked all grown up in New York City over the weekend, sporting a sleek hairstyle with her blonde hair falling to her shoulders in a neat bob, framed by curtain bangs that accentuated her face.

Vivienne epitomized casual cool in her outfit, rocking an oversized white T-shirt, beige pants and white sneakers to complete the look.

She was carrying a large water bottle and seltzer cans, clearly on her way to socialize on the hot summer day.

While she usually resides in Los Angeles with her mother and siblings, Vivienne was likely visiting her brother Pax, 21, who is living in Angelina‘s old NYC apartment as he builds his career as an artist.

The Maria star revealed that Pax’s apartment, which she bought in her 20s, has become something of a “crash pad” for the Jolie-Pitt crew on the East Coast.

“The other day I said I was going to pop by, and he was like can you just give me a day to clean?” Angelina told The New York Times.

“I thought, I appreciate that, you should clean up for your mother,” she said, before adding, “But also, how bad is it?”

Meanwhile, Vivienne is paving her own path in the entertainment industry, and helped her mother produce the Tony Award-winning play The Outsiders in 2024.

Angelina opened up about the immense impact that the play had on her daughter, who was deeply changed after seeing the show at La Jolla Playhouse.

“My daughter Viv loves theater. She appreciates all theater but she certainly knows what she feels close to and what she responds to,” she told Deadline

The teen was deeply impacted by the play

“She went to see The Outsiders at La Jolla about five times and was telling me about it, and I had read the book, and I’d seen the film years ago.”

“Really, as a mother, as a person, I was watching it, but I was really watching the effect it was having on my young daughter and what she was telling me about herself, and I was learning what about it was important to her and why it connected so deeply to her,” she continued.

“It was a very different experience of understanding. How this is having a significant effect on her as a young person right now, and she’s communicating something to me, and that is the power of this material, which was in really good shape even by then.”

Vivienne is reportedly estranged from her father, and dropped his last name when she was listed in the playbill for The Outsiders

She followed in the footsteps of her sister, Shiloh, who petitioned to legally remove Pitt from her last name when she turned 18. Their older sister Zahara also dropped his last name when introducing herself at a college event in 2024.

Angelina and Brad finalized their divorce in December 2024, after an eight-year legal battle over custody of their younger children and their shared French vineyard.
