Jason Momoa’s latest outing with his kids has turned heads. The actor proudly shared photos of his two children, 17-year-old Lola Iolani and 16-year-old Nakoa-Wolf, capturing their growth and distinctive personalities. While both kids looked great, it was Lola’s eye-catching appearance in a sheer top that sent fans into a frenzy, filling the comments section with praise.

Lola and her brother, Nakoa-Wolf, have spent their lives in the spotlight as the children of Jason Momoa and actress Lisa Bonet, who divorced in 2022 after 16 years of marriage. Despite their separation, the two remain dedicated co-parents, and their strong family bond is evident in public appearances. Recently, Lola and Nakoa-Wolf joined their dad at a Metallica event, where Momoa made a special gesture for his son’s 16th birthday — gifting him a custom Gibson guitar, a heartfelt surprise.

“To see all of this come full circle, watch METALLICA for the first time with my children, and now give my son a handmade guitar from the CEO of Gibson, who just happens to be mi hermano, is enough to make this big toughy tear up. HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY, MY LIL WILD ANIMAL. PAPA LOVES YOU. Now start shredding and melting faces,” Jason shared a heartfelt tribute to his son, along with an adorable video of him surprising Nakoa-Wolf, and his adorable reaction to it.

The Aquaman star, known for his love of family and music, shared more videos and photos from the event. “I LOVE U @metallica,” Momoa captioned the Instagram post. The event, part of the All Within My Hands Foundation’s charity concert, became a full-circle moment for Momoa, who has long admired Metallica and introduced his kids to the legendary band’s music.

Fans quickly took note of how much the kids had grown, with many pointing out Lola’s ability to steal the spotlight with her evolving fashion sense. “Son looks so much like Mom, your daughter so much like you, and tall! They have grown so much,” commented one fan. Another wrote, “Your daughter’s outfit is 🔥 Love it!”

However, not everyone approved of Lola’s outfit. “Imagine being a father and allowing your teenage daughter walk around other grown men in basically nothing but a bra,” one person shared their concern.

Now, the father-son duo will turn their competition into collaboration. On June 17, Deadline reported that Nakoa-Wolf is set to make his feature film debut as he joins Momoa in the third Dune installment.

On July 21, 2007, Momoa and Bonet welcomed their first child together, daughter Lola Iolani Momoa. The Game of Thrones actor, who is Hawaiian, wanted to honor his roots with her middle name, Iolani, which means “royal hawk.”

Speaking to Esquire in 2019, he shared how he almost wasn’t present for her birth. The actor was in Canada filming a movie when Bonet’s water broke early. “I missed about seventy calls. And I woke up and freaked [out],” he recalled.

Luckily, he was able to get the last seat on a flight home. “I made it in the nick of time,” Momoa added. “I had about two hours with [Lisa] in the tub, and my baby girl was born.”

In a 2020 interview with Men’s Healththe Aquaman star opened up more about being a girl dad, saying that he cried when Lola turned 13 and admitting the thought of her dating eventually scares him.

“I’m not going to do well with it,” he said. “I’ll just hate it if she brings home some dips— bad boy.”

He also spoke about his stepdaughter, Zoë, and his admiration for her, saying, “I hope and pray my daughter is that talented and loving and open and close to her family [as Zoë].”

Lola and little brother Nakoa-Wolf even joined their father at the New York City premiere of Batman in 2022 to support older sister Zoë.

In August 2022, Momoa told PEOPLE that Lola is a big fan of sitcoms, saying, “My daughter’s massively into Friends. It’s a trip to watch what I probably watched when I was a kid, now that my daughter loves this show.”

More recently, Momoa opened up to PEOPLE in March 2024 about how parenthood has changed as his children have grown up.

“I spent a lot of time with them when they were younger, which is super important,” he said. “Then they traveled with me quite a bit. But now, going into high school, they’ve got their friends and stuff.”

Momoa added, “They still like me, which is good. I’m probably losing cool factor daily.”

One month later, Momoa invited Lola onstage to perform a cover of Amy Winehouse‘s hit song “Valerie” during a concert in Los Angeles. They duetted the song again in June 2025.

Momoa and Bonet welcomed their second child, a son, on Dec. 15, 2008. The couple named their baby boy Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa, a.k.a. Wolfie.

As he did for his daughter, Momoa chose a name representative of his Hawaiian culture. Nakoa means “warrior” while his first middle name, Manakauapo, refers to the dark and rainy weather conditions when he was born. His second middle name, Namakaeha, is Momoa’s middle name as well.

In an interview with InStyle, Momoa opened up about how growing up without a father at home shaped his own parenting.

“I didn’t know what it takes to be a dad,” he said. “And I don’t want to just tell my son, ‘Because I said so.’ I really want to connect, and I want him to be vulnerable and open.”

In 2021, Momoa starred in the film Dune alongside actors Timothée ChalametOscar Isaac and Josh Brolin. He used his time on screen to send a sweet message to his son.

Speaking to IndieWire, he spoke about how he had to do martial arts training for his action scenes, including Kali. “I never really learned that,” he said. “My son does that.”

The actor continued, “There’s definitely these intimate moments where I’m signaling to my son. That’s a Kali move, where you put your hand on your heart and put it on your head. That’s to Timothée in the movie, but that’s to my son in real life.”

In a full-circle moment, Deadline announced on June 17 that Nakoa-Wolf will join his dad on-screen in the third Dune installment. While Momoa will reprise his role as Duncan Idaho, Nakoa-Wolf will portray Leto II, son of Paul Atreides (Chalamet) and Chani (Zendaya).
