Princess Beatrice Sparks Divorce Rumors With Husband After Dad Andrew’s Arrest: ‘He’s Been Pulling Away’

It seems Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, may be having a rocky year. Multiple sources close to the couple told DailyMail today that the couple has been growing apart after Beatrice’s father ex-Prince Andrew’s arrest, and the family dynamic is falling apart.

“Things haven’t been great for a while between them, but Beatrice has been determined to soldier on and forge a path through. Beatrice is quite different from her sister,” one inside source said. “She really wants to almost naively see the good in people and will turn a blind eye to uncomfortable truths – that is why she was blind to her father’s behaviour.”

They added, “She wants to stay together, but he seems more and more distracted by work and travel. Just when she needs him most, he’s been pulling away.”

Another source added, “He’s really worried his in-laws will affect his business. Banda has been taking off lately and he’s found some great investors among the wealthy Cotswolds set, but it’s taking up a lot of his time and energy. He’s all about himself at the moment. You have to feel for Beatrice.”

“There’s been distance between them with his much-increased work travel lately, which he has been posting out [on social media] heavily in a way he didn’t before,” a third source added.

Now, in details obtained by DailyMail later in the day, the pair were seen at the Eel Sushi Bar in Notting Hill for a large birthday party. So fans are definitely asking plenty of questions right now!

For those who don’t know, Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, met back in 2018, and by Sept 2019, they got engaged. They later married in May 2020. Beatrice became the stepmom of Mozzi’s son, Christopher Woolf, born in April 2016.

Then, they welcomed a daughter together named Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi on Sept 2021. And on Jan 22, 2025, they welcomed another daughter named Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi.

Princess Beatrice’s Huge Family Milestone Flew Under-The-Radar Amid Dad Andrew’s Controversies

Princess Beatrice has been dealing with a lot the past year, especially considering her father, Andrew’s, removal from the royal family and all the controversies that led to the decision. While she’s allegedly been handling the day-to-day activities as a part-time royal just fine, a major family milestone slipped through the cracks, and eagle-eyed royal fans just now noticed.

In case you missed it, Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s daughter Athena turned one on Jan. 22. However, there was no acknowledgement anywhere: no social posts, announcements, etc. This comes as a bit of a shock, but the timing of it all makes sense.

Right now, all eyes are on Andrew as he leaves the Royal Lodge, which happened soon after Virginia Guiffre’s posthumously-released memoirNOBODY’S GIRL released. He’s lost his titles, a lot of his money and connections, and the Lodge, and it seems both his daughters are estranged from him.

So amid all his controversies, it makes sense the royals don’t want any spotlight on the York family.
