As mindbogglingly embarrassing as it is, to overshare is to be human, I fear. Whether it’s by the water cooler at work or at a dinner party with an almost-friend, we’ve all fallen victim to saying far more than we anticipated and not realizing it until we’re knee-deep in the story and thinking, Why the fuck did I say that?
I’m no psychic, but I imagine this is how a good handful of these celebs felt after revealing these, uh, very honest, unfiltered, and occasionally TMI tales this year. From literal sh*t stories to naming your partner’s genitalia and announcing it to the world, here are 19 things celebs overshared with us this year that I am still trying to scrub from the wrinkles of my brain:
1. This summer, Joe Jonas told the world that, four years prior, he pooped his pants on stage at a concert while wearing a white outfit, but was saved by a costume change. “You think it might be a little toot, it might’ve been a little something else, a little something extra,” he began, “So it was like a mid-wardrobe sh*t change during the set.”
2. This summer, Chris Hughes — Love Island alum and current boyfriend of JoJo Siwa — revealed that JoJo calls his balls “Jimmy and Timmy.”
Rhyming names really seem to be JoJo’s thing, as she previously shared she wants to name her three kids (ideally, a girl and twin boys) Freddie, Teddy, and Eddy.
3. Three months after winning the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in Emilia Pérez, Zoe Saldaña stated that her Oscar “is gender fluid” and trans, and “goes by they/them.”
4. Jameela Jamil let us all know that she once accidentally had multiple orgasms “in front of 6,000 farmers” while DJing for Young Farmer’s Ball in the UK a decade ago. She was DJing on top of the massive speakers, and the vibration of the “bass was, you know…awakening something in my groin area,” she proclaimed.
5. In a Vanity Fair Lie Detector Test video, Kim Kardashian revealed that she uses ChatGPT on her legal exams, and that doing so has made her “fail tests all the time.” Elaborating, she said, “So, when I need to know the answer to a question, I’ll take a picture and snap it and put it in there… They’re always wrong.”
6. On a livestream this August, Machine Gun Kelly revealed that he doesn’t “really eat” and just does “water a bunch,” but when he does eat “a couple times a week,” it consists of the following foods: “bone broth with kimchi and sauerkraut,” celery juice, coconut water, or coffee and cigarettes.

7. Boy Meets World alum Danielle Fishel shared that her eldest son, 6-year-old Adler, was so upset she was away from home during her time as a contestant on the latest season of Dancing with the Stars that he told his teacher she was dead.
Speaking on the changes they’ve made to all of their lives to accommodate her participation in the dance competition show, she said, “I used to regularly pick both of [my kids] up from school, take them to karate, take them to baseball. On the weekends, I was always at their baseball games, and we could have playdates, and we would do movie nights, and now… I just haven’t really been able to be as present.”
8. Tom Brady admitted that back in 2023 he cloned his dog, Lua, using blood obtained from her prior to her death, claiming that doing so “gave [his] family a second chance with a clone of [their] beloved dog.” Their “new” dog is named Junie.
9. In October of this year, Kristen Bell spilled that her Nobody Wants This costar, Adam Brody, used to “affectionately” refer to the sex scenes they filmed for House of Lies — during which Kristen was eight months pregnant — as their “threesome.”
10. In an interview with Vulture celebrating SNL‘s 50th anniversary, Lorne Michaels — the show’s creator — shared that back in 2015, Taylor Swift was invited to make a special appearance in a sketch inspired by her “Bad Blood” music video, poking fun at her friend group and suggesting they were secretly part of an apocalyptic cult. Taylor called him directly to say not only would she not appear in the sketch, but asked Lorne to cut it altogether. To this, he replied, “Taylor, I do not negotiate with terrorists,” and hung up the phone.
Following that week’s episode, Taylor reportedly reached out to Lorne again, and sent flowers with a card reading, “I hope there’s no bad blood.”

11. In February, Kanye “Ye” West explained that the name of his album Bully is inspired by his then-9-year-old son, Saint West, kicking a kid he was playing with and claiming that he did so “because [the other kid] was weak.”
Thinking that his kid, who had a habit of such activity, was a bully, he pondered which parent he got that from, and decided he was “definitely a young Ye.”
12. This summer, Suki Waterhouse confessed that she once wore a pair of pants that were so tight, they caused a hernia and put her in the hospital.
She shared a photo of said pants and her in the hospital here.
13. Penn Badgley revealed that the drowning scene in the series finale of You was filmed in a “small, small man-made little pond” near a grassy area “covered in goose shit.” The pond water tested positive for E. coli., so, he and the four others who had to get into the water had to seal “every orifice” with a wax pomade, including putting it in their rectums.
Additionally, after they got out of the water, they had to spray their mouths, noses, and ears with an antiseptic.
14. In March, a paparazzi photo of Pedro Pascal holding a Starbucks coffee was snapped, revealing his genuinely bonkers order, which consists of six shots of espresso over ice. Speaking about it on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he said, “It was always a quad, but then I feel like the cups got bigger…and, I don’t know, the shots got less strong, and at some point, it became six [shots of espresso], and it is an incredibly private morning ritual that I never wanted anyone to know about.”
He continued, “I don’t have more coffee for the rest of the day, I swear… It’s on ice, you sip! You sip it. You get really high, and you answer emails and stuff.”
15. While hosting an episode of Pop Culture Jeopardy! Colin Jost revealed that he once searched through 12 New York City dumpsters in an effort to find his wife Scarlett Johansson’s lost engagement ring — which is estimated to be worth about $400,000 — after she accidentally threw it in the trash. As it turned out, after all that searching, she found it in her pocket.

16. In June, Hallmark star and Full House alum Candace Cameron Bure shared on her podcast that she doesn’t allow scary movies or games to be played in her home because they’re “incredibly demonic” and can be a “portal” to “spiritual things happening.”
Speaking on how she believes demonic things can happen while the film is being made, she said, “Listen, I’m in the film industry, I understand how it all works. I know that movie, specifically, has a crew of 200 people, and they’re lighting it, and they’re adding the sound effects, and it’s makeup, and camera people and actors. However, there’s still something that can be incredibly demonic while they’ve made it.”
17. Back in May, Justin Bieber shared his wife Hailey Bieber’s Vogue cover to his Instagram, commemorating her solo debut on the American edition of the magazine. He has now edited the caption to include just emojis, but originally, it began with the story of a not-so-nice memory he perhaps didn’t need to share with the class: “Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight. I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue.”
He continued, “Yikes I know, so mean. For some reason because I felt so disrespected. I thought I gotta get even… I think as we mature we realize that we’re not helping anything by getting even, we’re honestly just prolonging what we really want which is intimacy and connection. So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn’t get a vogue cover cuz clearly i was sadly mistaken.”
