Meet Bruce, a 10-year-old Golden Retriever who spent the first nine years of his life living in a small shed with no toys or comforts, used for breeding at a puppy mill. He was adopted in 2024 by his forever family, who recently shared his rescue story and how he came to love his favorite toy, a stuffie they call Lamb Chop.

You might want to grab a tissue for this one, which does have a happy ending, although Bruce’s story doesn’t start off that way. If this doesn’t give you all the feels, nothing will!

We lost it at the end of the video when Bruce’s mom said, “We love you, Lamb Chop!” It’s the sweetest story, and we’re so glad that Bruce has several Lamb Chops to love!

Bruce’s mom replied, “10/10 recommend a senior dog!! They are SO overlooked in shelters, and have SO much love to give. Sweet Bruce would be completely content whether it’s snuggling on the couch all day long, or lying next to me while I put away laundry, it doesn’t matter as long as he has his humans. And he has every size available, I believe. He is especially fond of the cat toy size LOL!”
