Dogs, with their optimism and lots of joy, do their best to help us through difficult times in our lives. And every once in a while, we have the opportunity to return the favor and do something nice for them.
Get ready to meet Nora the dog, and 11-month-old Archie the puppy. These two have been best friends since the day they met, and their story will remind you just how deep the bond between human and dog is.
Noura did not have an easy start in life. It was hard. Nora was living in an abusive family and is emotionally scarred as a result. She was afraid of everything and everyone.
“At any given time, you are likely to find children, cats and/or dogs lying around the house somewhere,” Archie’s mother, Elizabeth Spence, told The Dodo.
That was before she met baby Archie. Nora accepted the baby at the second meeting and never looked back. Nora was first attracted to the baby because of her calm demeanor. As time passed, the bond between them became deeper.
“Archie is a happy, sweet baby, and all the animals seem to respond to that, especially Nora,” Spence explained. “She comes from a bad family and is afraid of everything.” Archie on the other hand. He likes her!”
Nora needed the child to feel protected and stable to overcome her previous traumatic experiences. What a wonderful couple!
