While stopping to get photographed outside the Ed Sullivan Theater, Roberts posed in a quirky black peacoat that was covered in large black-and-white prints of an unknown man on her sides, front, and back. As she turned, the smiling Notting Hill star also revealed a tiny black-and-white sweater minidress inside with a plunging neckline and a similarly funky pattern. The knit design was covered in what appeared to be stenciled faces of the same man—an unusual choice even with Roberts’s signature irreverent style.

However, the playful pairing is actually a familiar look, as the star recently stepped out at Venice Film Festival in a very similar style. Ahead of her debut on the Venice Film Festival red carpet in a black long-sleeved optical illusion gown that she paired with over 100 carats of diamonds, Roberts touched down at Marco Polo airport on August 27 with a black minidress and a black-and-white patterned cardigan that also featured the same individual’s face printed all over it. For her latest outing, the Leave the World Behind actress gave her tongue-in-cheek coat and sweaterdress a fall update with sheer black tights and black patent leather pointy-toed stilettos.
