Meghan Trainor has recently made significant health decisions that she attributes to her weight loss transformation. The 31-year-old singer discussed her journey in an interview with El-Balad, focusing on a pivotal change in her lifestyle. This transformation was inspired after her husband, Daryl Sabara, consulted a psychic who pointed out Trainor’s heavy reliance on caffeine.
Major Lifestyle Change: Giving Up Coffee
Meghan revealed that she completely stopped drinking coffee, describing it as “life-changing.” During the psychic session, the medium noted that Trainor was using coffee excessively, likening its effects to those of stimulants such as speed, resulting in severe energy crashes.
- Meghan felt unwell despite maintaining a healthy diet and regular workouts.
- The psychic’s prediction prompted her to quit coffee “cold turkey.”
- She acknowledged coffee was her primary stress reliever.
Initially, the first week without coffee was challenging for her, but she has since adapted. Trainor has plans to maintain her health as she prepares for her upcoming tour.

The Get In Girl Tour
In June 2026, Meghan will launch her “Get In Girl Tour” in support of her album, “Toy with Me,” set for release on April 24, 2026. This will be her fifth headlining tour and will feature supporting acts like Icona Pop and Ryan Trainor, her brother.
Throughout the tour, she described her hectic schedule, which includes spending time with her sons, Riley and Bruce. Despite her busy life, she remains committed to balancing her personal and professional responsibilities.
Facing Body Shaming
In her appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Meghan candidly discussed the body shaming she encountered online following her physical transformation. She mentioned that while she typically ignores negative comments, the more aggressive ones particularly affected her.
- Critics questioned her weight loss, labeling her as the “bass girl” of the past.
- Despite the backlash, Trainor is focused on being a more active mother.
Meghan Trainor’s journey highlights her determination to prioritize her health while navigating the challenges of public scrutiny. Through significant changes in her lifestyle, she aims to set a positive example for her children and fans alike.
Meghan Trainor says quitting coffee transformed her health
Meghan Trainor underwent her breast augmentation and shed 60lbs

Meghan Trainor has confessed to giving up her daily coffee consumption amid the lifestyle changes that led to her recent ‘mommy makeover.’
For the unversed, the 31-year-old American singer-songwriter shares two sons Riley, four, and Barry, two, with her husband Daryl Sabara. Trainor underwent her breast augmentation and shed 60lbs.
This comes after fans noticed her slimmer frame earlier this year amid the wave of Ozempic use sweeping Hollywood.
Later, she set the record straight by revealing that she took Mounjaro, which like Ozempic is an injectable originally developed to treat diabetes.
She has now admitted that she quit coffee after drinking it ‘all day to just survive and be steady’ only to ‘crash and be buzzing at night to sleep,’ via People.
This change after Sabara visited a psychic who said: ‘Your wife us using coffee like speed. She’s non-stop and it’s not helping her and she’s juts crashing out.’
Trainor noted that her determination to quit caffeine turned out to be startlingly accurate.
Her latest revelation comes after she shared that she contracted gestational diabetes while pregnant with Barry, which led her to become ‘obsessed’ with her health.
However, she also revealed that she was worried by the backlash she received for losing weight in her new interview.
Trainor has since released a new single about her ‘obsessed’ trolls called Still Don’t Care, in which she calls herself ‘too cool to cry’ and ‘too hot to stress.’

NEED TO KNOW
- Meghan Trainor announced her new album, Toy With Me, and released the first single “Still Don’t Care” on Nov. 12
- Speaking with PEOPLE, the pop star says the song is her way of taking her power back
- The singer-songwriter also unveiled the Girl in Girl tour, which will kick off in June 2026
Meghan Trainor just hard-launched her new musical era — and it’s the most confident one yet.
On Wednesday, Nov. 12, the singer-songwriter announced her new album, Toy with Me, and set the tone by dropping the first single titled “Still Don’t Care.” Despite its infectious-pop beats, the message runs deep — and “Still Don’t Care” is Trainor taking her power back from social media trolls.
“My page is usually a friendly, happy, mom-loving place, but it took a dark turn,” Trainor, 31, tells PEOPLE ahead of the announcement.
“People started commenting about my body, saying I’m too thin, and that they don’t recognize me anymore. And I was like, ‘Oh, I’ve just been focusing so hard on my health and my fitness that I’ve never felt better.’ So, I was confused and sad and was like, ‘Oh, it’s almost worse now.’ I don’t know what happened.”
Trainor — who found herself crying at times after seeing the comments — began talking through this in therapy and she pondered why she gave “strangers” so much “power.” Once she felt secure, she wanted to write a song about it.

“I liked the idea of… ‘Let me think about it one more time. Nope, I still don’t care.’ And I know that when I start singing it, it’ll be my therapy, my exposure therapy,” the “Made You Look” singer says.
“I believe in it so much and I love it so much,” Trainor says. “I think it’s so important, especially now more than ever, the world’s a very dark, hateful place. If this is a little bit of light in the world, that’d be sick.”
At one point in the song, Trainor sings about being told she’s “doing too much” — and hearing the “same thing” her “whole life.” So what gets her through?

“Not to be morbid, but I always think about my mom, she always says something that’s really dark but silly. She goes, ‘Well, don’t worry. One day we’ll be dead forever,'” she says. “And then I’m like, ‘Oh yeah, we have one life.’ At one point, we got to give up and stop caring. That’s my dream. That’s what I’m working on.”
“I’m rewiring my brain to finally believe this. And I know when I sing it a hundred times, I will,” the “Dear Future Husband” singer says. “So, I recommend playing the song every morning and learning every word and screaming it as loud as you can until you start believing it, because that’s what it takes. It takes a lot of work.”
In addition to the album announcement and new song, Trainor also unveiled the Get in Girl Tour, which is set to kick off in Clarkston, Mich. in June 2026. After hitting over 30 arenas and amphitheaters across North America, the tour — which will donate a portion of proceeds to The Trevor Project — will end on Aug. 15 in Los Angeles.
“I’m going to do dance lessons. I’m going to be very fit. We’re going to be jumping, dancing,” she says of the tour. “It’s going to be a party, but it’s a party for everyone, for kids, for adults, for grandparents. I love when I see grandparents in the crowd. I love when the dads sing every word. I go, ‘Yeah, dad.’ It’s my favorite.”
General sale for show tickets will begin on Friday, Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. local time at MeghanTrainor.com. There will also be an Amex presale beginning on Nov. 18 and an artist presale on Nov. 19. Sign up for the artist presale at livemu.sc/meghantrainor by 10 p.m. PT Nov. 16.
