The girl couldn’t walk on her own. Rudy, a handsome young man, helped her through all of this. He is the only one in Amber’s neighborhood who really understands Amber.

Rudy never neglected Amber’s weight and supported her through thick and thin.

As a result, the relationship ended. Rudy was worried that other men would overtake him as they became increasingly attracted to a beautiful woman with an incredible figure.

During her weight loss journey, Amber struggled with severe anxiety, and she started attending therapy after the gastric bypass surgery, which helped her identify triggers and examine coping mechanisms. However, since leaving the show, Amber has become a vocal advocate of mental health and body positivity.

Amber also warns people about the dangers of getting complacent during their weight or mental health struggles. Throughout her time on My 600-lb Life, Amber showcased enormous physical and psychological strength in order to achieve her weight loss goal. Although she now lives a much healthier and happier life, it’s good to see how Amber is actively helping others succeed and overcome the same struggles she went through.

In 2023, Amber was largely quiet on Instagram, which was a different social media presence that fans had gotten used to from her in times past. That said, rumors were going around that Amber was no longer active on social media because she gained the weight back. Amber hopped back on Instagram in January 2024 to address the rumors and let My 600-lb Life fans know how she was doing honestly.

“In truth, I’m just tired, working a lot, have gotten older, don’t feel attractive, and I’m mentally focused on other things. I did start a semaglutide injection, despite my conflicted feelings on the topic, and I lost a fair amount of weight.”

Amber reminded fans it had been 10 years since she filmed My 600-lb Life season 3. “Forgive my absences, most days I am just too tired to even think about “being a public figure.'” Amber also urged her following, “Let me rest. And also, as a human, I am indeed allowed to gain and lose weight in peace.”
