King Charles III’s health is far worse than Buckingham Palace lets on
King Charles and Princes Harry’s meeting has left royal watchers and fans divided, with some celebrating it as the first step towards reconciliation while others believe it sounds dangerous.
The monarch and the Duke had their first in-person meeting in 19 months amid fears for the 76-year-old’s health.
It was more than just a heartfelt tea between father and son, as the King is concerned about what is going to happen with his two sons once he’s gone.
The latest development has swirled up questions about Charles’ actual condition as he continues to battle an unspecified form of cancer.
“The King’s health is far worse than the Palace lets on,” one royal claimed to Hollywood insider Rob Shuter, who wrote about it on his Substack on Friday, September 12.
“That’s why Harry was summoned. This isn’t about reconciliation. It’s about succession,” claimed the commentator.
A separate source claimed that the monarch has given an ultimatum to his two sons, ‘heir and spare’, as the Duke previously described, to mend their rift before it’s too late.
The monarch often hints at facing difficulties in continuing his duties with full vigor due to the health crisis and his advanced age.”
King Charles announced in February 2024 that he had been diagnosed with cancer after undergoing a procedure for an enlarged prostate. He still undergoes regular treatments.
On the other hand, the growing feud between William and Harry is also adding to the King’s worries as he wants to cop with these crises during his reign.
He’s reportedly paving the way for a smooth and undisrupted transition of power. The monarch often considers abdicating the throne to his heir, William, but Queen Camilla always lifts his spirits and keeps his morale high.
King Charles ‘first call’ to Montecito family in three years
King Charles plans big for Prince Harry and his family family
King Charles seems desperate to make amends with Prince Harry and his family as the clock ticks away.
In a desperate bid to heal the rift, the 76-year-old monarch could make contact to Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The monarch reportedly plans a Zoom call with the Montecito family after Harry’s positive step towards reconciliation with his royal relatives.
A royal insider has claimed that the King, who has not seen them in person for the past three years, now wants to rebuild his lost connection with his beloved family.
“The King desperately wants to be a grandfather. He knows time is precious, and this is his chance to reconnect.” Rob Shuter claimed on his substack.
Harry’s father, who’s battling cancer, last saw Archie and Lilibet during the Platinum Jubilee in 2022, and has only met Lilibet once.
“He lights up when he talks about them,” claims the source.
They continued: “He wants them to know their grandfather before it’s too late.”
The commentator went on to reveal that The Zoom is being set up with Harry directly, but Meghan’s participation is uncertain.
“Whether she joins is up to her,” Rob wrote citing an aide.
He continued: “This is less about politics and more about family.”
Some other royal experts and aides, close to the Palace, also believe that King Charles and the Sussex are set for their first virtual reunion in three years.
The move could encourage Harry to take a decisive step regarding his and family’s future in the UK.
King Charles doesn’t let Prince George make his own decisions
King Charles surprises staff with choice of regnal name
King Charles’ decision to reign as Charles III took palace staff by surprise.
Grant Harrold, the ex-royal butler said many staff members had expected a different decision one that would honour his grandson, Prince George.
He explained that he and other colleagues were convinced the new monarch would take the regnal name George VII, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, King George VI, whose reign ended in 1952.
“King Charles explained to me about the different titles he could use. And we, myself and other colleagues, discussed it and we were all convinced he would become George VII,” he recalled.
Instead, he surprised everyone by following tradition and using his given name, echoing his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.
With his full name Charles Philip Arthur George staff had speculated he might honour George VI, but the King opted to cement his own legacy as Charles III.
“With his grandson George, maybe he felt he should be the next George VII,” Harrold said.
“Maybe he feels that it would be a nice thing to let him have that because it makes sense for Charles to go with Charles. It would make more sense for his grandson to have that name.”
Harrold also noted the historical baggage attached to the name, which added to his surprise at the King’s choice.
“Charles II had a reputation as a womaniser and Charles I lost his head after he was tried and convicted of treason.
So when he picked Charles, I was quite surprised because that was not the impression I got,” he explained during the launch of his book, The Royal Butler.
King Charles ascended to the throne on September 8, 2022, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II at Balmoral Castle.
Last week, on the third anniversary of her passing, the King privately observed the occasion at the royal residence in Scotland.
Prince Harry says royal family excluding him is ‘their loss’
Prince Harry made a striking impression on the Royal Family during his recent UK trip.
Royal commentator Jennie Bond noted that the Duke of Sussex demonstrated “what a great loss he is” to palace insiders.
The four day visit reunited Harry with King Charles for the first time in over a year and a half and was packed with meaningful engagements.
The Duke spent his days visiting organisations close to his heart, greeting crowds, and making generous donations to a range of charitable causes.
“He is so damned good at the job and this week he really seemed to be enjoying himself. He’s a natural with the crowds funny, informal, and charming,” Bond noted.
“This week has shown what a great loss he is.” While she suggested the Palace would have taken notice of Harry’s successful engagements, she cautioned that officials are still wary of a “half in, half out” arrangement.
“As the Palace is concerned, it seems the basic conundrum remains how can a working member of the royal family, even a part-timer, also operate in the commercial world?” she said.
Yet Bond believes The Duke may have already found a solution. Short, focused trips conducted on his own terms, with his own security, appear to offer a workable balance between royal duties and personal ventures.
The Duke continues to surprise observers with his strategic approach to royal life, the veteran commentator told The Mirror.
“Harry never ceases to surprise us these days! Everyone assumed he was flying straight back to California and now there he is in Ukraine,” she said.
Bond praised the Duke of Sussex for carving out a “halfway house” that the Palace had previously resisted, noting that he is managing it entirely on his own terms.
“You have to hand it to him, he is finding the halfway house the Palace refused to allow him and he’s doing it on his own terms,” she added.
The commentator suggested that Harry’s new approach allows him to rebuild his relationship with the Royal Family, support his charitable causes, and maintain his life in California with Meghan and their children.
Prince Harry receives special honour after Duke wins hearts in UK
Prince Harry’s meaningful efforts and support for wounded war heroes have been lauded by a political figure.
For the unversed, after wrapping up his successful trip to the UK, the Duke of Sussex travelled to Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, alongside his Invictus Games Foundation team.
Yulia Svyrydenko, the Prime Minister of the war-hit country, honoured the member of the British royal family for his “work on the rehabilitation and recovery of veterans.”
On Telegram, the PM wrote, “I had a small meeting with Prince Harry during his trip to Kyiv… We talked about the work on the rehabilitation and recovery of veterans.”
“I thanked the Prince for his support for our Ukrainian military personnel after service at various venues, including at the Invictus Games.”
It is important to note that Harry confessed while talking to the Guardian that he needed to take permission from his wife, Meghan Markle and the UK government before accepting the invitation to visit Ukraine amid continuous threats.
Furthermore, Harry’s surprise trip to Ukraine came after he performed meaningful royal engagements in his homeland, the UK, and made a generous donation, winning the hearts of Britons.
Buckingham Palace breaks usual policy over Queen Camilla’s teenage incident
Buckingham Palace briefed journalists over a sensitive passage in the book Power and the Palace about Queen Camilla, royal author Valentine Low claimed.
The veteran author implied that Palace wanted to handle it carefully, as the controversial passage recounts an incident when a teenage Queen Camilla fended off an attempted assault while travelling on a train to Paddington.
This marked a notable departure from the Palace’s usual approach to media matters.
Camilla reportedly told Boris Johnson about the ordeal during his time as a Mayor, according to his former aide, Guto Harri.
Speaking told GB News: ‘I think it’s impinged on Camilla personally, and it’s a very sensitive subject, and they wanted to make sure it was handled with some sensitivity.’
In the book, Mr. Harri recalls Camilla describing how, as a teenager, she noticed a man’s hand moving towards her on a journey. She responded by taking her show and striking him. He was later arrested following her complaint to officials.
‘So it shows presence of mind, strength of character and civic personality,’ Harri said.
The aides indicated to GB News that Camilla was not a victim in the incident, which marks a shift from the Palace’s usual policy on such matters.
The story emerged in the context of a meeting between Boris Johnson and Camilla at Clarence House in 2008.
Their discussion included plans to expand rape crisis centres across the capital.
Meghan Markle’s blog made snarky comments about Prince William and Kate’s wedding

Meghan Markle once threw a shade at Kate and William’s wedding.
Before she became a duchess herself, she was already weighing in on the royal spectacle from afar.
In a resurfaced entry from her now defunct lifestyle blog The Tig, the Duchess of Sussex casted a critical eye on the “pomp and circumstance” surrounding Prince William and Kate Middleton’s 2011 wedding.
Never one to hold back her opinions, Meghan questioned the public’s obsession with the royal romance and the endless chatter about Kate.
“Little girls dream of being princesses… I, for one, was all about She-Ra, Princess of Power,” she wrote, referencing the iconic 1980s cartoon heroine known for her strength and rebellion.
She went on to jab at the fixation with princess culture, adding, “Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy. Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate.”
The comments made seven years before Meghan herself walked down the aisle to marry Prince Harry in 2018 now read with a layer of irony.
Her words proved almost prophetic. After marrying Prince Harry in 2018, Meghan and her husband famously became known as the monarchy’s true “royal rebels” when they stepped down as senior royals just two years later.
In her 2022 Netflix series Harry & Meghan, the Duchess reflected on her blog’s success before her royal chapter began.
“I’ve never really been the type of person to do only one thing. I guess that’s how my website was born.
There was fashion. There was tons of food and travel… And The Tig wasn’t just a hobby. It became a really successful business,” she said.
Though Meghan once dismissed the “pomp and circumstance” surrounding William and Kate’s 2011 wedding, the Prince and Princess of Wales were gracious when it came time to welcome her into the family.
Just weeks before Meghan and Harry’s Windsor Castle nuptials, Kate told reporters, “It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.
William and I are absolutely thrilled… It’s a really happy time for any couple, and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment.”
Meghan Markle’s jealousy with Kate Middleton and Prince William exposed

According to former royal butler Paul Burrell, Meghan Markle harbored envy toward Kate Middleton’s lavish lifestyle at Kensington Palace, even before officially marrying Prince Harry.
Burrell, in his upcoming memoir The Royal Insider, alleges that the Duchess of Sussex couldn’t help but compare her modest life at Nottingham Cottage with the grandeur of Apartment 1A, where Prince William and Kate lived.
Complete with its own ballroom, the Waleses’ sprawling residence stood in stark contrast to the two bedroom, 17th century cottage where Meghan and Harry began their married life.
The butler claims that her jealousy may have sparked after she and Harry were invited to dinner at the Kate and William’s apartment.
“This may be where the trouble began,” he suggested, painting a picture of a Duchess who felt overshadowed by the luxury surrounding her sister-in-law.
Nottingham Cottage did, however, hold sentimental value for the Sussexes it was there Harry proposed over a roast chicken dinner in 2017.
Yet, in their Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, the couple admitted they weren’t exactly enamored with their first home.
Meghan pointedly remarked, “As far as people were concerned, we were living in a Palace. But we were living in a cottage.
Kensington Palace sounds very regal; of course, it does say palace in the name. But Nottingham Cottage was small,” a sharp contrast to the Waleses’ more opulent lifestyle.
Harry, once standing at over six feet tall, joked about the “low ceilings” of the small 17th-century home, quipping, “The whole thing was really small, on a slight lean with low ceilings. Whoever lived there before must have been small.”
Meghan echoed the sentiment, admitting, “It was a chapter in our lives where I don’t think anyone could believe what it was actually like behind the scenes.”
Even Oprah Winfrey, when invited for tea, was stunned by the couple’s humble setup. According to The Duke, she told them, “No one would ever believe it.”
