After going through many rescue stories, I can confidently say that many people should not be allowed to own a dog.
To people who neglect, abuse, or abandon them, they are often a nuisance. In many cases, they only adopt them for protection and nothing else.
When they think the pup is no longer useful, they discard them like they are nothing. This puppy was just going about his day with his owner when something unexpected happened.
He abandoned him in front of a store and never came back. The loyal pup waited for a while, but it was ultimately for nothing. His favorite person was not coming back.
A Silver Lining
Just after that, a store employee realized that this dog had probably been abandoned and that no one was coming for him.
He called for help and a rescuer came very fast. The rescuer noticed a sad look on his face. She thought that he realized his owner was not going to rescue him.
She quickly gave him some food and moved him to a shade where he would be more comfortable.
He enjoyed his meal, and the woman realized that she needed to get him to a clinic soon. The pup was very relaxed in her presence, so she took him into her car.
Now was the time to take him to a vet, where he received a full checkup. They found that he was dehydrated, malnourished, anemic, and had a skin disease.
It affected him a lot, but he was lucky to receive help when he did. The rescuer was not sure why the owner just left his dog.
Her theory was that he didn’t have money to treat the dog, so he left him in hopes that somebody would take care of him. While there is no way to be sure, the pup will still recover.
The pup was always relaxed in the care of his rescuers, but he didn’t quite know how to socialize with other dogs there.
Fred Is A Miracle
He eventually got over his fear and became such a sweet pup who loved cuddles and treats. With every day, he healed more and his skin changed so much.
However, just as things were getting better, his rescuers noticed a big problem with his eyes. They looked opaque, and they weren’t sure what was causing it.
A vet visit revealed that it was going to be difficult to treat but it was not hopeless. He will have to take eye drops regularly so his condition doesn’t get worse.
This was not a big problem for his rescuer, who took him to her home and treated him daily.
He was doing a lot better and even made friends with the new puppy in the house. The dog, now named Fred, taught this new member of the family a lot of things.
They spent a lot of time together and were like best friends in many ways. It was always adorable seeing them together.
After he was placed on an adoption list, Fred’s rescuers spent a lot of time looking for a new family for him.
He would eventually be adopted by a very kind man who gave Fred a completely new chance to enjoy his life. The two are so great for each other and it’s amazing to see that this sweet pup is doing so great now.
