I imagine it’s not easy for any rescuer when they are met with a tough rescue situation. How would any of us react when we see a seriously injured dog on the street?
Obviously, I know that I would not be so calm about it, it’s necessary for the dog’s wellbeing. The rescuers have to think of a plan calmly, so they can help the pup get the help he needs.
In this way, the job rescuers do is often heartbreaking and difficult as you have to deal with so much pain when rescuing injured dogs.
It was not much different for Suzette Hall, who received information about an injured dog lying on a busy street in California, so she quickly reacted and decided to help.
An Injured Pup
When Suzette Hall first encountered this sad and injured pup, she couldn’t contain her sadness. He couldn’t move…something was broken in his body.
Hall got closer to examine him and realized that his leg was likely broken. He had flies all over him, and he was filthy.
It’s hard to tell how long he had been there or how he ended up with this injury, but that was not a priority now. He needed medical attention.
So, Hall immediately got him in a car and drove him to the clinic in California. The whole time they were driving, the pup did not make any noise. He just accepted what was going on.
When they arrived at the clinic, the veterinarian determined that the pup had two broken legs and it would take a lot for him to heal.
In fact, they said that he needed surgery, but it was going to be expensive. So, Hall did her best to raise the funds necessary for this dog’s surgery.
Soon, though, they were successful in this goal, and this little pup, now named Phoenix, would get his chance to recover. It was a good day for him.
Phoenix Has A Bright Future
When the veterinarians performed the surgery, everything went well. The pup is now on a healing journey and it’s going to take a while before he is able to walk normally.
Nevertheless, with the help of some amazing people, he is getting better and his therapy is working great.
The pup’s mood has also changed and he has realized that these amazing people only wanted to help him. They were doing everything they could for him.
After weeks of non-stop treatment and therapy, Phoenix has achieved a miracle. He is now able to walk normally and his rescuers are just so proud of him.
Now that he is able to run around and play, his mood has improved even more. He is just always very cheerful and his rescuers couldn’t be happier for him.
However, now that they knew he was doing okay, this meant that it would soon be his time to find a forever home.
We don’t have information about Phoenix’s future, but I am sure that his rescuers are doing everything in their power to make sure he finds a kind and loving family who will care for him.
