Mr. Snufflufugus is a five-year-old male that was recently abandoned and left on the streets in Texas to fend for himself. He was frightened and ran around the city of Copperas Cove, Texas, in hopes that someone would find him and help him.
The local animal control was contacted, and thankfully, the personnel was able to locate the poor dog and bring him to the Copperas Cove Animal Control shelter.
This adorable pup was so thankful for being rescued that he immediately hugged his new best friends, and everyone’s heart at the animal control shelter simply melted.
The staff member who was there noticed this touching moment and snapped a picture right away.

This picture quickly became viral, with people sharing it online and advocating for Mr. Snufflufugus to be adopted.
“Victoria and I were in the play area with Mr. Snufflufugus when he decided he needed a hug,” the animal control supervisor, Tamara Hall, told The Dodo.
They found out pretty soon that Mr. Snufflufugus was such a snuggle bug and enjoyed being hugged. Everyone at the shelter took an instant liking to this precious boy.
“If you are sitting on the floor or ground, he is sure to seek your attention by climbing into your lap or snuggling up next to you. He uses his irresistible sweet eyes while looking up for attention,” Hall also said.

Besides giving the best hugs, Mr. Snufflufugus is very friendly and enjoys resting.
Victoria wrote on her Facebook, “He would rather sit on the couch and be a potato, a good potato who gets many head scratches and gets to sit on your chest and snore, and is told quite often what a good boy he is.”

After the Copperas Cove Police Department posted the adorable photo of Mr. Snufflufugus, he became quite famous, and the animal control shelter received numerous applications for this good boi.
They wrote on their Facebook profile, “Thank you ALL for expressing interest in Mr. Snufflufugus and for sharing our post! We recently discovered that he needs to be in a single pet home, with no small children. While he is exceptionally affectionate, this could create a problem in a home where he becomes possessive of the adult owner.”
The small shelter unfortunately did not have enough assets to process all this, so Mr. Snufflufugus was transported to Pit Squad Rescue in Minnesota. Pit Squad will be able to interview all potential adopters and find the best home for this lovely dog.
He has to be treated for heartworm, which sadly comes with a hefty vet bill, but they are happy to give this sweet boy a second chance.
“This boy has been so grateful to everyone he comes in contact with & so happy to be safe. & you can guess… loves to snuggle & hugs. Welcome to Pit Squad Rescue MN Mr. Snufs! We cannot wait to find you your furever home 🐾”
Mr. Snufflufugus seems to be in love with his foster family, just as they are with him.

You are the goodest dog ever, Mr. Snufflufugus, and we at PupVine sincerely hope you find the best furever family that will love you and give you hugs every day because you deserve it.
After 432 Days in Shelter, Puppy Finally Finds the Loving Home He Deserved

Spinach arrived at Austin Pets Alive! (APA!) as a tiny puppy with a ruptured eye, and if the shelter hadn’t stepped in, his life would have ended there. After the removal of his injured eye, the sweet puppy began to feel much better, and those who cared for him hoped his adoption would follow soon.
But sadly, over 432 days passed, and Spinach was still waiting for the loving home he deserved.
A Puppy Full of Hope
When Spinach first came to the shelter, he was a playful and optimistic puppy. But after more than a year of waiting, his hope began to fade. Despite his weariness, the staff and volunteers who had grown fond of him couldn’t bear to see him give up.

“When he was in the playgroup, he was happy and joyful because he loved to play with other dogs,” said Frankie Helfey, an APA! Volunteer to The Dodo. “But then, you’d see him in his kennel, and it was heartbreaking. You could tell how sad he was. He wasn’t eating much or losing weight, and we had to get creative. For the last two months, I gave him 2-4 bowls of food each day to see what he might eat.”

The team at APA! Knew that Spinach needed to find a home as quickly as possible. They shared his story on social media, showcasing what an amazing dog he was—and, miraculously, it worked.
A family in Oklahoma saw Spinach’s story and decided to give him the home he had been waiting for. After a year of waiting, Spinach was finally on his way to his forever home.

A Happy Ending at Last
“There were many happy tears and some anxious moments as he made his way to Oklahoma,” Helfey shared. “We were cautious but hopeful. Sometimes, these dogs just need someone to give them a chance.”

Pup From Georgia Who Was About To Be Euthanized Tried To Hide Behind His Favorite Staff Member
All stray dogs long to be loved and to have a roof over their heads. T-Rex was not the exception. When the eleven-month-old puppy ended up all alone in a grocery parking lot, all he could do was hope that someone would help him.
Once T-Rex spotted a kind-hearted person, he approached them as if begging them to take him off the streets.
The Good Samaritan called for help and T-Rex was admitted to Fulton County Animal Services, a shelter in Atlanta, Georgia.
The pup hoped that his life would change for the better. He couldn’t have known that bad things can happen even in shelters.
T-Rex Begs To Be Rescued

Upon arriving at the shelter, T-Rex was extremely scared. He wasn’t used to being in a noisy environment.
The shelter staff tried to make him feel better. After spending time with the puppy, they discovered that he was an adorable pup who was pure love.
He only needed a family to take him and give him all the cuddles he wished for.
Sadly, instead of a loving home and a forever human who would dote on him, T-Rex ended up on the euthanasia list.
The puppy clung to his favorite shelter worker as if he sensed what awaited him. He had a heartbreaking look on his face as he kept trying to hide behind the employee’s leg.
The shelter worker stroked the frightened puppy, trying to comfort him and give him love.

The TikTok account, @rescueme_atl, managed by volunteers dedicated to highlighting animals at risk of euthanasia in Atlanta, shared the video of T-Rex along with his story.
The volunteers asked good people to rescue the pup and give him a forever home.
The people who watched the heartwrenching video felt devastated and hoped that T-Rex would be saved before it was too late.
The Pup Is Safe

Fortunately, a big-hearted human volunteered to foster T-Rex and they saved him from euthanasia.
T-Rex left the Georgia shelter feeling hopeful about his future.
His friends were relieved that their boy was safe.
After spending a few days in his new home, T-Rex didn’t feel well and his foster family rushed him to the shelter clinic. The vet team cared for him and he started receiving treatment.
I hope that he will get back on his paws very soon and that he will meet his ideal family.
T-Rex is just a puppy who dreams of having a family who adores him. That’s all he needs to be happy.

Illinois Pup Who Stayed 372 Days At Shelter Can’t Contain His Excitement When A Hooman Finally Stops At His Kennel
Some doggos just need to wait a little longer than others for their furever home. But, when it finally happens – all those endless nights and days of sitting in hope and waiting for that special moment become water under the bridge!Take Major, for example! For some unknown reason, this pawesome boi has spent over a year at a shelter until his meant-to-be hooman appeared at the doorstep.
It was a long road of hopeful tail-wagging in the direction of potential adopters, but the day finally arrived, and this black-and-white doggo couldn’t hide his happiness!
Major And His Brother Saved From Being Euthanized

Before he became everyone’s sweetheart at the Naperville Area Humane Society, Major, the 3-year-old dog, and his brother, Hilo, were stationed at a local shelter in Quincy, Illinois.
According to the NAHS staff, if they hadn’t been saved timely, both of these dogs would’ve faced euthanization.
Major and Hilo are known for their quirky and amazing spirits! They are both very sociable and friendly to everyone at the shelter, and they just love playing games!
Recently, the NAHS team posted a video of Major and Hilo, emphasizing their adorable temperaments and displaying their major qualities.
“This weekend, they will have officially hit their 365-day mark at NAHS and we can’t understand why. So, we put this video together of some of our staff and volunteers, the ones who know them best, to share with you all the great things they have to offer,” they wrote.
Overlooked Without A Valid Reason

Nobody at the shelter could understand why every potential adopter overlooked Major, as he had no valid reason not to be rescued! Aside from being such a great and friendly doggo, Major has always been well-mannered and easy to maintain, too!
Winston, the volunteer at NAHS, says: “Don’t tell the other dogs – he’s the smartest one here!” “He’s such a lovebug, and everybody here at the shelter wants him to have his own family,” says Jane, another volunteer.
And, according to Pam – “Major is the sweetest little boy.”

Aside from his caregivers, Major loves spending time with his shelter buddies! Despite their size, temperament, and pretty much everything – he just loves them all!
The Day Has Finally Come

It was Wednesday and exactly 372 days from Major’s very first day at the shelter when a man showed up! Jose, a semi-trailer truck driver who recently lost his furry companion, came to NAHS to adopt another dog.
The staff immediately knew who to show him – Major! The two seemed to click right off the bat, and after the initial introduction – there was no doubt anymore! Major was the one for Jose!

The shelter staff prepared the unexpected, yet most emotional farewell for their long-time resident. Major got to say goodbye to all of his favorite volunteers, one by one. And, after he did – he jumped into the truck with his new dad!

It was so heartwarming to see Major snuggling up to Jose through the truck window. He seemed at peace and happy to finally be in the arms of his furever owner. And, that smile – boy was that a pawdorable sight!
Endless Adventures On The Road

Even though his address is no longer in Naperville, Illinois, Major couldn’t be happier to take on new adventures with his new dad!
“We just heard from Major’s new dad that Major is doing GREAT! Major can jump out of the truck by himself now and LOVES to snuggle with his new owner at night in the cabin. We are so thrilled to hear that Major is enjoying his exciting life on the road,” the NAHS wrote.
He’s living life to the fullest, making every day a new adventure! And, most importantly – he never stops smiling!
‘Miracle’ Pup Reunited With Dad After Weeks in the Hospital
‘Miracle’ Pup Reunited With Dad After Weeks in the Hospital
Last month, dog rescuer Suzette Hall received a heart-stopping text from a Good Samaritan in the Los Angeles, California, area. The person reported finding a small black-and-white dog on the side of the road who was alert but seemingly injured from being hit by a car.
Hall, the founder and director of Logan’s Legacy 29, dropped everything and raced to the dog’s location. When she arrived and saw the poor pup struggling to move, she knew time was of the essence to save her.
“She is definitely in shock,” Hall wrote on Facebook. “Rescue is hard. It’s sad and scary, but I have to be their voice.”
Inky, the Sweet Pup

The worried rescuer carefully scooped the pup into her arms and drove straight to her local veterinary clinic for a thorough checkup. On the way there, she named the pup Inky and quickly began to fall in love with her sweet spirit.
News of Inky’s rescue spread quickly, and within 24 hours, her owner was found. When he heard about Inky—whose real name was Tulum—he rushed to the vet. Seeing her condition, he broke down in tears.
“She is all her owner has in the whole world … she is his life,” Hall shared on Facebook. “He and I cried together and hugged. My heart couldn’t be more broken seeing his broken heart.”

Medical Challenges
Though Tulum’s dad was relieved to see his precious girl after she had been missing for some time, he was devastated by her health and the mounting medical bills. At the time of her rescue, Tulum appeared paralyzed from the neck down, requiring extensive testing and treatment.
Tulum’s dad wanted to save her but couldn’t afford the MRI and surgery she desperately needed. That’s when Hall stepped in. She crowdsourced donations from her followers, raising enough money to cover Tulum’s medical expenses.
Though Tulum had a long road to recovery ahead, her demeanor began to improve after seeing her dad for the first time.
“Her little eyes looking up at her daddy was all it took to see hope in her eyes,” Hall wrote on Facebook.

On November 6, 2024, Tulum underwent surgery to address her physical injuries. The surgery was a success, and with the help of physical therapy and laser treatment, Tulum started regaining her movement. Hall and the caregivers were filled with hope.
“Sweet baby girl is responding so well to her physical therapy and laser treatment,” Hall wrote on Facebook. “She is even responding with feeling in her back legs. I truly believe in a Christmas miracle.”

A Miracle Reunion
Tulum spent the next few weeks recovering at the clinic until she was finally strong enough to return home to her dad. More than a month after the accident, the tiny, resilient pup could barely contain her excitement when he arrived to pick her up.
“She couldn’t get back in his arms fast enough,” Hall wrote on Facebook. “Tulum and her daddy are back together.”
You can watch their emotional reunion here:
After their touching reunion, Tulum and her dad walked out of the veterinary clinic arm in arm, overjoyed to be reunited. Hall, too, felt blessed to be part of such a heartwarming journey.
“SHE IS A MIRACLE,” Hall wrote. “I literally can’t stop crying.”
