The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has always been known for the drama. The women of the 90210 leave nothing on the table when it comes to their massive arguments. However, the franchise’s golden age probably occurred when Lisa Rinna and Kim Richards almost came to blows over alcohol intake and fidelity. The two women rarely saw eye to eye, but the Amsterdam meeting of the minds left everyone in shambles. However, Kathy Griffin is now shedding light on the fight heard around the world. And the information is interesting, to say the least.
How did the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fight start?
Earlier in the episode, Lisa mentioned that her husband had been three years sober. But when it came to dinner, the mother of two had no problem attacking Kim for her drinking. After replaying the scene over and over, I can’t help but feel when Kim said the “Let’s talk about the husband” remark, she might have been insinuating he wasn’t sober, not that he had cheated. But for years, this has all been a theory.
Kathy Griffin speaks out about Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

During a podcast, the comedian revealed inside information from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills dinner party that she learned from Lisa. Kathy told listeners, “There was an episode of RHOBH where Lisa took a glass and was so pissed at Kim Richards she freaking broke it and was gonna twist it in her neck, which is my kind of b*tch, and she kept saying because there was a rumor about Harry.” For years, viewers have watched as Lisa has always been extremely protective of her husband. But at the time, the outburst felt excessive. Kathy noted she has never heard one rumor about the actor even though “he’s been around forever.”
Recently, the redhead found herself out at dinner with Lisa and Harry and couldn’t resist asking about that famed interaction. “What was the rumor that pissed you off so much?’” Kathy asked. According to the My Life on the D-List alum, Lisa was “Like, ‘First of all, I blacked out in that moment. I was about to kill someone,’ and then I go, ‘What was the rumor?’ I go, ‘Harry, what was the rumor?’”
Harry Hamlin shared the reason behind the fight
After a long pause from Kathy for dramatic effect, she claimed Harry responded with quite an interesting claim. According to the comedian “He’s such like a quiet-spoken, intellectual guy, and he goes, ‘They said I f*cked a dog.’ And you guys, I lost it laughing. And I went, ‘What?’ I go, ‘That’s what you were gonna fight over? Somebody said Harry f*cked a dog?’ I just thought that was the funniest thing,” Kathy admitted.
The fight for Kathy now seemed humorous and almost pointless. “Of all the rumors, how did even one person be like, ‘Hm, that is possible.’ I thought the rumor was just that he was having an affair with somebody, maybe an affair with someone on the show.” Kathy doubled down, noting, “Harry Hamlin is not a dog-f*cker.” During the fight, Lisa felt as if she were in The Matrix. She realized at that moment, “I could take someone’s life, but I’m gonna go to prison and never see my husband and my kids again.” Honestly, the fight almost seems dumb now. I was expecting a bit more juice to the rumor but all is fair in Real Housewives’ battle briefs.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is available to stream on Peacock.

Lisa Rinna Explains What Would Make Her Potential Return To Bravo Just Like ‘Heaven’
Lisa Rinna has not shied away from sharing her candid feelings about “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” lately. In addition to calling the show a sinking ship, likening it to the “Titanic,” the reality star recently revealed that she’d only go back to the reality series under one circumstance.
During an appearance on Grindr’s “Who’s The -sshole?” podcast with Katya Zamolodchikova, Lisa Rinna discussed what her “RHOBH” reunion would look like, and it sounds nothing short of explosive.
Lisa Rinna Would Need This One Thing To Return To Bravo
During their conversation, Zamolodchikova told the actress, known for shows like “Days of Our Lives” and “American Horror Stories,” that she would’ve made a great “Bond girl” had she pursued the role before joining Housewives.
When asked what her weapon of choice would be, Rinna went all out and said a “gold-plated chainsaw” so that she could “cut people’s heads off.”
Shortly after, Rinna, who starred in the popular Bravo series from 2014 to 2022, changed the topic from “James Bond” movies to the “Real Housewives.”
“I would like to go back to ‘Housewives’ with two rhinestone f-cking diamond chainsaws and cut all [of] their heads off,” she said. “That would be the greatest day of my life.”
The outspoken reality star, largely remembered for her chaotic arguments with co-stars Kim Richards, Yolanda Hadid, Lisa Vanderpump, and Denise Richards, didn’t stop there. She added, “Producers, head of Bravo, Andy f-cking Cohen, all of them. Just slice and dice all of their f-cking heads off.”
“That would be f-cking heaven,” Rinna said.
Why Lisa Rinna Is Slamming Bravo
It’s no secret that Rinna breathed new life into “RHOBH” when she joined the show ahead of its fifth season in 2014. The actress and mother of two’s villainous ways produced some of the show’s most memorable storylines, ultimately resulting in even bigger blowups.
Although Rinna never cared about being labeled the bad guy, the reality star admitted that during her final years on the show, the reaction from the audience became too much to bear.
“Some of the most horrible things I’ve ever seen in print, and it’s a reality show! It’s a stupid show! I thought: ‘It’s time to go.’ I’m not sure how much longer that can exist in the zeitgeist,” she said.
Rinna Wishes She Were ‘Brave’ Enough To Have Quit ‘Housewives’ During Reunion
Rinna decided to leave “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” following season 12 in 2022. In her departure message, she called appearing on the show “the longest job I have held in my 35-year career” before saying she was thankful to “everyone at Bravo” for the experience.
However, during an episode of a new podcast with her partner, Harry Hamlin, Rinna revealed that she didn’t exit the series the way she initially planned. According to the 61-year-old, she wanted to quit while cameras were rolling during the season 12 reunion in front of Cohen and the rest of her castmates.
“I wish I would’ve now that I look back on it,” Rinna said. “I was going to do it on camera. And I wish I would’ve done that.”
She told her listeners that had she been “brave enough” to follow through with her plan, “Real Housewives” watchers would’ve seen her exit play out during her final year on the show.
Rinna Believes ‘RHOBH’ Is A Sinking Ship
During another podcast appearance, Rinna discussed the state of “RHOBH” now that she’s no longer on it.
“We all know it’s the f-cking ‘Titanic,'” she said before blasting producers for pulling gimmicks and “always looking to save it.”
The “Melrose Place” actor also shared her thoughts surrounding the rumors that the network was eyeing Vanderpump for a massive return to the series she left during a fiery argument with Kyle Richards in 2019.
From Rinna’s perspective, Bravo has to court Vanderpump because they have no one else. “They know I’m not going back,” she said.
Rinna Stands By Her ‘Titanic’ Statements
Rinna had to address her problematic comments about the show she spent eight seasons on during an appearance on Cohen’s show, “Andy Cohen Live.” There, the podcaster replied to the “Real Housewives” host, who called her out for always mouthing off about the franchise, considering she’s “so moved past the [series and] doing your own thing.”
“I’m sorry I hurt your feelings,” Rinna replied before admitting to using the wrong words.
However, by the end of their conversation, Rinna retracted her statements and said that she stood by her remarks. “I meant to say ‘Titanic,’ and I said it, and I’m sorry I hurt your feelings. Let’s move on.”
Lisa Rinna will no longer ‘own it’ on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
After eight seasons, the actress is leaving the Bravo reality show.
The post also includes a statement from Rinna. “I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series,” she said. “It has been a fun eight-year run and I am excited for what is to come!”
Rinna first joined the series in 2014 during its fifth season. Her debut season featured one of the show’s most memorable moments, a fight with fellow housewife and then-costar Kim Richards, at whom she hurled a wine glass. Over the course of her eight seasons, she became known for the catchphrase “Own it, baby,” which she also championed as her own personal mentality.
Former costar Lisa Vanderpump appeared to comment on Rinna’s exit (and her general unpopularity) on Twitter with a post that read simply “Ding dong,” as in The Wizard of Oz’s song “Ding dong the witch is dead.”

The actress has never had a shortage of projects. Most recently, she appeared in a Days of Our Lives spin-off miniseries Beyond Salem. She’s launching her wine label Rinna Wines nationally early this year. Also, she’s been promoting her husband, Harry Hamlin, and his new series Mayfair Witches on her social media pages.
Rinna left a mark on the long-running reality series, often at the heart of messy drama. Following the death of her mother, Lois, in Nov. 2021, Rinna posted a series of online rants, which she later deleted and apologized for, including one chastising the show for not properly memorializing her mother. “I got one episode of grace. That’s it,” Rinna wrote in an Instagram story. “Lois deserved and deserves much more. Shame on everyone.”
Her antics sparked a backlash from fans, even getting loudly booed at 2022’s BravoCon, a fact in which she delighted. “I got booed! It was fabulous,” Rinna told PEOPLE exclusively. “I’m like a wrestler. The wrestlers get booed. The most famous wrestlers in the world get booed. The Rock [Dwayne Johnson] got booed for God’s sake. I loved it. I’ve been in this business for 32 years.”
