One of Goldie’s beauty secrets is keeping her skincare routine simple and using the magic of her own hands.

‘I wash my face every day,’ she told Ageless Radiance Club, ‘And I massage it for about three minutes, and then I put creams on my face, and I go to sleep.

‘And then I wake up in the morning and do the same thing, I don’t do much. I was using coconut oil for a while on my face.’

She went on to add that her mother used to ‘squeeze lemons’ onto her face for the exfoliating acid – a homemade beauty hack that wouldn’t ‘cost you a fortune.’

Staying hydrated and protecting her skin from the sun have always been top priorities for the Christmas Chronicles 2 star.

And it’s all in the genes for Goldie when it comes to her famous blonde locks, as the First Wives Club star has never colored her hair.

‘I know it sounds strange, Hawn told Allure, ‘but I’ve never colored my hair. I just put a regular rinse on it because I don’t have any chemicals on it.’

When it comes to maintaining her stunning figure, Goldie does trampolining, yoga, weights and strolls–to boost her mood.

As the founder of MindUp, a program to help children better process emotions, the actress advocates the benefits of exercise in improving overall mental health.

In 2020, she shared a workout video with her followers, revealing what motivates her to keep fit.

She penned: ‘Research shows that people who exercise regularly have better mental health and emotional wellbeing.

‘Physical exercise can help boost our mood, concentration, and also help us achieve a positive outlook on life.

‘The great news is that exercise doesn’t have to be strenuous or take a long time to make us feel good.

‘Studies show low or moderate intensity exercise is enough to make a difference in our mood, behaviour and thinking patterns.

‘The levels of chemicals in the brain, such as serotonin, stress hormones and endorphins, can change after just a few minutes of a light workout!

‘Recent research also indicates that exercise decreases sleep complaints and insomnia, and also improves our coping ability and self-esteem.

‘We all know the physical benefits of exercise but it can also profoundly impact our mental health in an amazing way.’

Giving further insight into her routine, she previously told People in 2017: ‘I try to drink my juices, I try to work out every day a little bit, I find moments in the day.

‘I have short meditation spurts during the day. If I don’t have a long one in the morning.

‘I hike, I bike, I try to move as much as possible.’

Goldie said that staying ‘very, very active’ is key to maintaining one’s mental health and staying positive.

‘I don’t eat a lot,’ she told People. ‘I think we overeat.

‘I don’t put a lot of food in my stomach and I don’t mix my foods too much.

Goldie knows that taking care of what’s inside benefits your outside. In fact, the first thing she does when she wakes up is say some affirmations.

‘I breathe big, deep breaths, hold it -especially if I’m feeling sleepy -and, after about four breaths, my eyes just pop right open,’ she told the Wall Street Journal. ‘Oxygen is a big deal.’

And it’s something she practices all day.

‘One affirmation isn’t enough. You have to keep, throughout the day, reminding yourself of affirming messaging, whether it’s a message to yourself or a message to what it is you want to affect positively.’

While Goldie is all about following a healthy diet and exercising, it’s no surprise that she doesn’t take her looks seriously.

‘I also glance a lot at my face, but I don’t study it,’ she told the Wall Street Journal: ‘I’m not a studier of my face, of my beauty,’ she previously told the Wall Street Journal.

Goldie is a doting mother of three kids.

She shares Kate, 46, and Oliver, 49, with ex-husband Bill Hudson, and is mum to son Wyatt Russell, 39, with partner Kurt Russell.

The beauty is also stepmum to Kurt’s son Boston Russell, 45.

Reese Witherspoon is looking back on the inspiration behind one of the most defining roles of her career.

In a recently resurfaced 2005 interview with Charlie Rose, the Oscar-winning actress recalled a period early in her career when she faced repeated rejections from studios — even as filmmakers expressed interest in casting her.

“I would get letters from directors saying, ‘Thank you, I want to hire you so much but the studio won’t let me,’ ” Witherspoon, now 50, said.Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde (2001)

The actress told Rose that the experience left her at a crossroads, and prompted her to rethink the types of projects she was pursuing (or not) at the time.

She continued, “I called up my agent and my manager and said, ‘I have to find something that’s going to make this happen for me, so send me commercial scripts — the ones I wouldn’t look at before.”

That decision ultimately led her to the script for Legally Blonde — though she didn’t immediately say yes.

“They sent me the script for Legally Blonde, and I hummed and ho’d over it for a while and couldn’t decide,” she said.

Witherspoon then recalled watching feminist icon Gloria Steinem speak about Goldie Hawn and her performance in the 1980 comedy Private Benjamin, which follows a sheltered woman who joins the U.S. Army and discovers her own strength.

“And then I saw Gloria Steinem talking about Goldie Hawn in Private Benjamin on Bravo — it was like a biography,” Witherspoon said. “And she was talking about the impact of that film and how important it was for women to see a woman who was underestimated rise above everything and become the hero of her own life. And it just rung in my ears and I immediately saw the connection to Legally Blonde.”

The parallels between the two films helped Witherspoon reframe her thinking about the role of Elle Woods, a fashion-forward sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to follow her high school boyfriend — but ultimately proves her own intelligence and determination.

At the time, Witherspoon had already established herself with a mix of dramatic and indie roles, but Legally Blonde represented a shift toward a more commercial, mainstream project — something she had previously been hesitant to pursue.

Legally Blonde, released in 2001, went on to become a box office success and a cultural touchstone, cementing Witherspoon’s status as a leading actress in Hollywood. The film also spawned a 2003 sequel: Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde.

A prequel series called Elle, will premiere July 1 on Prime Video.
