King Charles III has given his brother Andrew a place to stay on his Sandringham Estate – discover the features he’ll be enjoying
ndrew Mountbatten-Windsor is being temporarily housed at Wood Farm as his brother King Charles III’s team prepares Marsh Farm. The disgraced former Prince was forced to relinquish the lease of his impressive Royal Lodge mansion in Windsor after ongoing revelations regarding his involvement with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The Sandringham locals may not be happy about Andrew’s safe harbour, but he may be pretty pleased with the set-up he’s being given with an array of luxury features he can bask in…
A newly decorated property
While Andrew is downsizing considerably, he is still getting a luxury setting. Marsh Farm is being overhauled ready for Andrew’s arrival, meaning he’ll be moving into a perfectly decorated abode. It is actually a far cry from the tired surroundings of Royal Lodge, which were rather dilapidated by the time he left.
Access to an incredible estate
Royal Lodge has a 98-acre estate, but at Sandringham there’s even more space to roam. Andrew’s farmhouse is located two miles away from Sandringham House itself, nestled in the iconic 20,000-acre estate. It is set within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and members of the public can explore the parkland at their leisure. Andrew will also have access to these incredible surroundings, which include nature-filled woodlands and the private Royal Stud where horses are kept.
Private stables
Marsh Farm also comes with its own stables, so Andrew has no doubt relocated with his horses as horse riding is a frequent pastime of his. Last month, Andrew was pictured in Windsor riding with his granddaughter, Sienna, four, who was there with her mother, Princess Beatrice.
Privacy and security
A six-foot-fence has been installed around the perimeter of the property to provide Andrew with suitable privacy at home. Also, at the end of 2025, a no-fly zone was extended to include Marsh Farm, which was another strategic security move to prevent drones from flying over the house. Living on the Sandringham Estate, Andrew will also benefit from Charles’ on-site security.
Sky TV
As well as security measures, workmen were seen at Marsh Farm installing Sky TV, services which could cost up to £60 per month. It’s unknown if Andrew’s bills will be covered with his own private finances or if he’ll be relying on his brother Charles to foot the bill.
Downsides at Marsh Farm
There are, however, also some downsides to Andrew’s new property; not only is it a downgrade from his palatial former home of Royal Lodge, but it is also flagged as being a flood risk area, and pest control has been spotted at the house, indicating an issue.
Exclusive: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s new neighbour reveals truth about divisive Sandringham arrival
King Charles III’s brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is currently living at Wood Farm after being ousted from his Windsor home, Royal Lodge

ing Charles III has stated he will “stand ready to support” the police in any investigation pertaining to his disgraced brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his connection to Jeffrey Epstein. While he has made his stance clear, he is still giving his sibling safe harbour at his privately owned Sandringham Estate after asking him to give up Royal Lodge. We spoke to the owner of the neighbouring pub, The Black Horse Inn, who has told us exactly what the feeling in the village has been like since…
When asked how the locals have reacted to Andrew’s arrival, he admitted: “It’s a 50/50 split, some are disgusted with his potential behaviour, but others say he hasn’t been convicted and he’s innocent until proven guilty. I sit somewhere in the middle. I think it would be better for him to be brought in [by the police] if he is innocent, as he says.”
The pub is located just down the road from St Mary Magdalene Church, Sandringham where the royal family gather each year for a special Christmas service. Because of the close proximity, the owner occasionally gets regal patrons coming in for a pint. “We get some royals coming in, because we’re so close to Sandringham, with the big church next door. Prince Edward comes in, but I can’t see Andrew coming in, given the current climate, but his money is the same colour,” he said.
A week ago, shortly after the relocation, locals were quizzed by PA Media, and a few of them expressed concern about Andrew’s “luxury” lifestyle in exile. Abraham Bruin, 83, who was visiting the Sandringham Estate, said: “I’m a little bit flabbergasted myself. If he’s an outcast and living on the estate, he’s not an outcast, is he?” Another added: “Really, he’s going back to luxury, isn’t he? He’s being waited on hand and foot.”
Marsh Farm luxuries
While Andrew’s soon-to-be new home, Marsh Farm, is a far cry from the decadence of the vast Royal Lodge, there have been an array of renovations to ensure it is fit for Andrew. A new security fence has been installed, and Sky TV workers were spotted at the property, indicating that the former royal will be afforded satellite TV when his property is ready.
Currently, he is housed at the nearby Wood Farm, a five-bed property that’s well known for being where the late Prince Philip spent much of his time after retiring from public duties in August 2017.
Queen Elizabeth II’s strict rule at Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s secluded home
Wood Farm will serve as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s residence as he waits for Marsh Farm to be prepared, but the late Queen had a strict rule for her staff there

ndrew Mountbatten-Windsor finally moved out of his Windsor home of Royal Lodge on Monday, 2 February, when he was evicted due to allegations connecting him to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The disgraced royal’s new home will be Marsh Farm, located on the Sandringham Estate, his brother King Charles’ residence in Norfolk, but while it is being prepared for him, he will live on Wood Farm.
Andrew’s new home is a five-bedroom cottage located in a secluded corner of the sprawling estate, separate from the main house, and where Prince Philip lived from 2017 when he lived away from the late Queen Elizabeth II.
However, the former monarch still spent lots of time on the property, and had a rule for the staff working there. According to former royal chef Darren McGrady, who wrote about his time working for the British royal family in his book, Eating Royally: Recipes and Remembrances from a Palace Kitchen, the late Queen was strict about how her corgis were treated.
Darren explained how he always knew when the mother-of-four was ready for lunch because of the dogs: “The dining room was right next to the kitchen, and we knew when the Queen was coming through for lunch because the door was always open and the dogs would be herded into the kitchen,” he wrote.
“I could feel as many as twelve in the royal dining room and six in the staff room, all the while navigating around the dogs, which were jumping for tidbits,” the chef continued. “You couldn’t push the dogs away, for the Queen would hear them yelp in the next room and know what was going on.”
Queen Elizabeth II famously doted over her corgis, so it seems unsurprising that she would expect her staff to treat them with royal dignity!
The fate of Queen Elizabeth’s corgis
Given that Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah, lived with the late Queen’s two corgis, Muick and Sandy, there were many questions raised about what would happen to them following the couple’s eviction from Royal Lodge.
However, Buckingham Palace confirmed where they will go in a statement that read: “The corgis will remain with the family,” though it was not declared whether it would be Andrew, Sarah, or Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice that would look after them.
