What did they do?
Whatever was behind the decision for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to attend Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party, after all the drama surrounding the photos that were posted and then deleted, it’s fair to say they probably regret it. Despite being tangentially in Hollywood, the two have worked hard to stay mostly low-key, and if there’s a word the Kardashians have never heard of, it’s private.
Apparently, it all caught the pair off guard. Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop reported that the two were left “horrified” after realizing there were cameras everywhere. “It is Meghan and Harry’s worst nightmare come true,” one insider said. “They thought it was going to be an elegant, private evening — instead, it was full-on Kardashian chaos. Cameras everywhere, boom mics in the chandeliers, drones outside the mansion.”
Despite previous reports, Shuter says no one was asked to hand over their phones, and guests filmed everything, while Kris “collected all the best footage” for an upcoming episode of The Kardashians.
“There were at least three professional camera crew rolling all night,” a source shared. “Even the security team had GoPros. Meghan looked mortified. Harry tried to laugh it off, but you could tell he wanted out.” And though the two left the party early, drama followed them soon after as they reportedly requested both Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian delete pictures with them from social media. “They came to network and got reality TV,” an insider added.
And that’s without going into photogate. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle featured in photos posted by both Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian in their social media carousels. But then, the pictures disappeared. And according to Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop, they were taken down at the request of Harry and Meghan, something that reportedly has Kim Kardashian “upset.”
The Daily Mail reported that, “Kim was like “you’ve already been papped outside and you were at the Baby2Baby event the same night being photographed like Meghan Trainor and Paris Hilton, so what’s the problem?”‘ adding: ‘Kim is pi**ed off’.
Plus, ShuterScoop also reported that there was a “total vibe clash” between Markle and Kim Kardashian. “Kim doesn’t do take-backs. If you show up to a Kardashian production, you’re part of the machine.” Or at least, that’s the expectation. But “Meghan tried to rewrite the narrative — and Kim hated that.”
Shuter also reported that Kim tried to get Markle to film a greeting for The Kardashians show, a request Markle “politely but icily” declined. “Kim took it as a snub,” a source said. “She felt Meghan acted like Buckingham Palace had arrived — and that goes down badly in Calabasas.”
ShuterScoop had previously reported about the Instagram pictures drama: “They were polite but firm—nothing goes online without their sign-off,” a source told him about the request to delete the pictures. “They’ve built their brand on control, and they weren’t about to let a Kardashian post ruin that.”
And Kim Kardashian is reportedly not the only one who was upset. “Kris doesn’t like being told what to do—especially not by royals who live in Montecito. She said if Meghan and Harry want control, they can have it—just not on her guest list.”
Not exactly lasting friendship material.
What Each Royal Inherited From Queen Elizabeth II After Her Death
Not every royal is inheriting the same amount.

Since her death, there have been a lot of questions over Queen Elizabeth‘s inheritances and who inherited her money and jewelry in the British royal family. After more than 70 years on the throne, the longest-reigning monarch in British history died on September 8, 2022. She was 96 years old.
In a 1957 Christmas Broadcast, the Queen promised the United Kingdom she would give her “heart” and “devotion” to the Commonwealth. “I cannot lead you into battle,” she said at the time. “I do not give you laws or administer justice, but I can do something else: I can give my heart and my devotion to these old islands and to all the peoples of our brotherhood of nations.”
While her will isn’t public, there have been reports on which British royal family members inherited Queen Elizabeth‘s estate and fortune, and which were left out completely.
