It was a rough day for this brown dog who was trying to gather the strength to keep moving forward. He was ill and severely malnourished. 

This sweet little pup believed that there was still hope somebody might help him. But, his legs were giving out.

He couldn’t move anymore, so he just laid down on the ground in the shade and hoped that somebody would see him and decide to help.

Just as the situation was starting to look hopeless, something amazing happened. A kind rescuer came to her aid.

Marshall Was Stunned

When a young man named Marshall Neuzil first came across this pup, he was stunned by the dog’s state. He was so malnourished that he didn’t look like he was going to make it any further.

So Neuzil reacted immediately and called his dad, who worked for It Takes A Village Rescue in Iowa. He sprung into action and was there in no time.

The family then transported the dog to a clinic for emergency care. She received treatment immediately and it looked like she was finally out of the woods for a bit.

Afterwards, Marshall decided to name the dog Luna, because he really liked the name. Now, this sweet girl might finally have a chance.

As time went on, she got better in her rescuer’s care and her weight went up. Her health was improving, so she was finally ready for a foster home in Iowa.

Her rescuers would move her from one foster home to another, but they were doing it because they wanted to see what kind of a family was a perfect fit for her.

Luna’s Perfect Family

Eventually, they were able to find someone who they thought was perfect for her. These people also had a lot of experience with fostering, which was great.

They also had to train her to be more restrained and have self-control. Time went by and this was starting to work. Luna was becoming a really well behaved and happy dog.

The change she underwent was staggering. She went from a malnourished pup struggling to move to this beautiful and sweet girl who is just always happy to be around other people.

Now that things were going really well for her in life, it was time that she was placed on an adoption list.

Her foster family and rescuers wanted to make sure that she was with the best people. She needed someone who would be a perfect match.

After searching for some time, the rescuers believed that they had found Luna’s perfect family. She was taken to meet them and it was clear right away that there was a connection there.

She finally gets to relax and enjoy her life with someone special and I am so happy to see that she is doing well.
