When I first came across Keller’s story, it broke my heart.

How could such a sweet, loving boi ever be without a loving family? How did he ever end up alone? 

With these questions in mind, I realized that no matter how good of a companion you are, there are some things that you cannot fight alone. At no fault of his own, Keller somehow ended up at a shelter, begging each and every passerby for a chance.

The good thing was, he never, not even once, lost hope that someone kind would eventually notice him!

A Sweet Boi Seeking Home

To this day, rescuers are not quite sure about Keller’s past. Before he ended up at PupStarz Rescue, based in New York City, he was in another shelter. 

The rescue’s partners from Tennessee transferred him to PR, where his new life chapter began.

“This adorable senior pup is on the lookout for his forever home where he can live out his golden years in comfort and love,” PR wrote in a Facebook post.

From the moment he entered his new, temporary home, Keller has been nothing but a sweetheart. His cheerful and friendly personality made everyone fall in love with him instantly, and in no time, Keller became the rescue’s favorite.

He soon found a foster home with a woman named Kristen, and he couldn’t be happier. 

“His loving nature and gentle spirit make him an instant favorite with everyone he meets. Although he appears to be deaf, Keller doesn’t let that slow him down one bit. He’s a resilient little guy who continues to spread joy wherever he goes,” the rescue wrote.

Given his senior years, it was truly amazing seeing Keller blossom. He never let his age affect his behavior, even when he had a dental procedure on top of his hearing impairment that resulted in him losing all his teeth.

As if that was possible, being a toothless senior at the age of 10 only made him look even more adorable! 

“His tongue now adorably hangs out of his mouth most of the time, giving him the cutest, most endearing expression,” the rescue added.

Wishing You Joyful Golden Years, Keller

Keller spent months spreading nothing but joy. He’s an absolute lover who enjoys walks and those long cuddle sessions with his foster momma. 

And, when he’s not busy showering hoomans with endless kisses and hugs, Keller enjoys playtime with his doggo buddies. Despite his size, he doesn’t shy away from making friendships with bigger canines, too!

It is safe to say that Keller is the whole package, and he would make a wonderful addition to a family who is ready to take him. Luckily, he didn’t have to wait too long!

Last month, Keller was blessed with two giant-hearted hoomans who knocked on the rescue’s door, looking to adopt him.

Upon realizing that he’s finally getting a forever home, Keller couldn’t hide his happiness. He was over the moon to get a family that was ready to love and appreciate him for who he was.

After all the searching, Keller is finally where he was always supposed to be – in a loving home, ready to live his golden years to the fullest!
