Christmas miracles: 2 babies born at Hartford HealthCare hospitals

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford HealthCare announced Friday the arrival of two very special Christmas gifts — a pair of Christmas Day babies born at two of its hospitals about 14 hours apart Thursday.

Baby Ruby was born to mother Michelle Marano and father Andrew Melavczik at 1:28 a.m. at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. Ruby weighed six pounds, 10 ounces and measured 20 inches.

Later on in the afternoon, baby Áziel was born at 3:50 p.m. to mother Lennya Blake and father Manuel Rodriguez Jr. at Hartford Hospital. Áziel weighed seven pounds, 14.5 ounces and measured 21 inches.

A Hartford Healthcare spokesperson said they are “Sending love, happiness and healthy wishes to the families as they begin their new journeys with babies Ruby and Áziel!”

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) – Hartford HealthCare is celebrating the births of two babies on Christmas in 2025.

St. Vincent’s Medical Center delivered a special gift this Christmas – the arrival of baby Ruby, born to mother Michelle Marano and father Andrew Melavczik.

Baby Ruby was born at 1:28 a.m. and weighed 6lbs 10oz, 20 inches.

Hartford Hospital delivered baby Áziel, a Christmas miracle for mother Lennya Blake and father Manuel Rodriguez Jr..

Baby Áziel was born at 3:50 p.m. and weighed 7 lbs 14.5 ounces, 21 inches.
