On Tuesday, during an appearance on MSNBC’s “The Briefing,” actor and director Rob Reiner said President Donald Trump was bringing American to a point where we might lose our democracy.
Reiner said, “So we’re now in a place where we are really wrestling with whether or not we’re going to have a constitution, whether or not we’re going to have a the American form of democracy and the First Amendment is right at the core of it.”
He continued, “This moment that we’re in right now, it goes way beyond Jimmy Kimmel. It goes way beyond knocking comedians off the air. This is directly out of the authoritarian playbook. Control the media, do whatever you can to control the media so that only your message is getting out. If you look at authoritarians across the globe that’s exactly what they do. So if you want to control Nexstar or Sinclair or Fox News, whatever, and you can all of a sudden consume it all, you know subsume it all, then you have the only platform. You know, they always talk about the presidency as being the bully pulpit. well, if the bully pulpit is you own everything, then it’s impossible for people to, to fight back.”
Reiner added, “It’s a you know, it’s more than a slippery slope. This thing is barreling downhill. And we have, I would say a year to be able to correct this and see whether or not our 250 year experiment continues to to to survive. And we’ll find out but we need everybody to push back, not just comedians. Everybody needs to push back.”
Trump to Sign Executive Order Dismantling ‘Domestic Terrorism Networks’
President Donald Trump revealed that he will sign an executive order to “dismantle” left-wing domestic terrorism networks after a man shot at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas with “anti-ICE” writings on his shell casings.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump explained that he had been “briefed on the deadly shooting at the ICE Field Office” located in Dallas, Texas. Trump highlighted how the men and women working at ICE were “just trying to do their jobs,” and noted that they are “facing an unprecedent increase in threats, violence, and attacks by Deranged Radical Leftists.”

“We have already declared ANTIFA a Terrorist Organization, and I will be signing an Executive Order this week to dismantle these Domestic Terrorism Networks,” Trump said. “I AM CALLING ON ALL DEMOCRATS TO STOP THIS RHETORIC AGAINST ICE AND AMERICA’s LAW ENFORCEMENT, RIGHT NOW!”
“The Trump Administration is fully committed to backing Law Enforcement, Strong Borders, securing our Homeland, deporting Violent Illegal Criminals, and fully rooting out the Left Wing Domestic Terrorism that is terrorizing our Country,” Trump added.
In his post, Trump also cast blame on the Democratic Party for this type of violence and noted that it was the result of “Radical Left Democrats constantly demonizing Law Enforcement, calling for ICE to be demolished,” and labeling ICE officials as Nazis.
“The continuing violence from Radical Left Terrorists, in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, must be stopped,” Trump added.
Breitbart News’s Bob Price reported that Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel had given an update on the shooting at the ICE facility in Dallas and noted that “evidence shows an idealogical motive behind this attack.”
“This morning just before 7am local time, an individual fired multiple rounds at a Dallas, Texas ICE facility, killing one, wounding several others, before taking his own life,” Patel wrote in a social media post. “FBI, DHS, ATF are on the ground with Dallas PD and state authorities.”
“While the investigation is ongoing, an initial review of the evidence shows an idealogical motive behind this attack (see photo below). One of the unspent shell casings recovered was engraved with the phrase ‘ANTI ICE.’ More updates will be forthcoming,” Patel added.
Trump Hangs Portraits of Presidents in Rose Garden Showing Biden as ‘Autopen’
The White House has hung portraits of U.S. presidents along the West Wing colonnade in the Rose Garden, now-dubbed the “Presidential Walk of Fame,” but the image of former President Joe Biden is represented by an “autopen.”
Special Assistant to the President Margo Martin shared a video on Wednesday of the newly installed “Presidential Walk of Fame” on the West Wing colonnade depicting U.S. presidents in chronological order. In between Trump’s official presidential portraits from his current and first terms sits the autopen photo.
Trump inspected the portraits after they were installed.

In July, Trump contended that “the autopen I think is maybe one of the biggest scandals that we’ve had in 50 to 100 years” and zeroed in on Biden staffers “on the other side of the Resolute Desk.”
“They’re no good. They’re sick people. And I guarantee you he knew nothing about what he was signing. I guarantee it,” Trump said.
The New York Times reported in July:
Mr. Biden did not individually approve each name for the categorical pardons that applied to large numbers of people, he and aides confirmed. Rather, after extensive discussion of different possible criteria, he signed off on the standards he wanted to be used to determine which convicts would qualify for a reduction in sentence.
Even after Mr. Biden made that decision, one former aide said, the Bureau of Prisons kept providing additional information about specific inmates, resulting in small changes to the list. Rather than ask Mr. Biden to keep signing revised versions, his staff waited and then ran the final version through the autopen, which they saw as a routine procedure, the aide said.
Trump’s Cabinet members and senior White House officials are set to see the “Presidential Walk of Fame” on Wednesday. Breitbart News has confirmed that Trump plans to host them in the Rose Garden Club for a dinner scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
The “Presidential Walk of Fame” is just the latest renovation Trump has made to the White House. The Rose Garden Club marks another significant update. Last month, construction workers replaced the sod in the Rose Garden with a white stone patio, which is adorned with white chairs and tables topped with yellow umbrellas.
Trump has also installed nearly 100-foot-tall flagpoles on the North and South Lawns and is undertaking the construction of a ballroom off the East Wing of the White House, which will accommodate 900 people at capacity. The project, which Trump and his donors will fund, is expected to cost approximately $250 million, he said last week.
