Abandoned “unicorn” puppy with tail growing from his head rescued from freezing cold

A unique puppy that’s being described as a “magical unicorn” is said to be on the mend after being rescued from freezing cold conditions.

The plucky pup, distinguishable by a tiny second tail growing on its head, was found by Missouri-based rescue organization Mac’s Mission wandering around outside with an older dog last week.

The pup was reportedly struggling with a foot injury, but what shocked rescuers most was the tail growing between his eyes.

Mac’s Mission shared a picture of the pooch on social media. They’ve named him “Narwhal the Little Magical Furry Unicorn” and, it’s safe to say, he’s quickly stealing the hearts of the internet.

Staff at Mac’s Mission took Narwhal to the vets earlier this week to find out why he had a second tail. The subsequent x-ray revealed the tail isn’t connected to anything, meaning it serves little purpose beside turning Narwhal’s cute factor up to 1,000.

The million dollar question about Narwhals extra tail on his face. Is it connected and does it wag? The extra tail is…

A video uploaded by Mac’s Mission shows Narwhal running and playing enthusiastically. The ‘unicorn tail’ doesn’t seem to bother him one bit!

The rescuers said: “The unicorn face tail does not bother Narwhal and he never slows down just like any normal puppy. He seems completely healthy other than some usual puppy worms he got meds for.”

Someone is not super thrilled about the vet. I tried telling Narwhal it wasn’t scary to get xrays. Love,MacaroniBigBro

Mac’s Mission have decided to keep hold of Narwhal for the time being, but will be looking to find him a forever home as soon as they deem him ready.

In a recent update on the pup’s case, the organization wrote: “It’s me Narwhal!! I don’t understand what viral is but my foster mama said my story being viral helps ALL our special needs dogs here at the Mission. You are welcome.

I am super excited for being the poster child for ‘special is awesome’. Sleep tight, k thanks, Narwhally.

Just another video of our narwhal the magical fuzzy unicorn puppy because we think he is amazing. (We are not accepting applications for him right now until we are very certain his unicorn horn is not going to have a growth spurt and become an issue) (no it does not wag) (yes he is keeping it) (yes he is amazingly awesome!!) Dad tells dog he got a kitten, and people can’t stop laughing at dog’s reaction

Wouldn’t it be amazing if our pets could actually talk to us? Most of the time, their wagging tails or happy barks say more than enough — but imagine being able to have a real conversation with them!

One dog owner decided to make that dream come true, sort of. In a now-viral video, he gave his dog, Clyde, a hilarious “voice-over” as they had what might be the funniest pretend chat ever caught on camera.

The clip starts with the owner casually telling Clyde about his trip to the pet store. Their “conversation” goes something like this:

“Yeah, I looked at the mice.”
“Ye.”
“Gerbils.”
“Ye.”
“Parrots.”
“Ye.”
“Newts.”
“Ye.”
“Hamsters.”
“Ye.”
“Kittens.”
“Y—OH OH THAT’S IT! THAT’S WHERE YOU STOP!”

Clyde’s over-the-top reaction to the word “kittens” is absolutely priceless — you can practically feel his excitement when he realizes he’s getting a new furry family member.

The video has now been watched more than 41 million times, with viewers saying they can’t stop laughing. One commenter wrote, “This never gets old,” and honestly, we couldn’t agree more.

Clyde’s “conversation” proves what pet lovers already know — even without words, animals have so much to say. ❤️🐾
