King Charles and ex-Prince Andrew’s tension has spilled into a rushed exit from Royal Lodge. One royal insider said, “Charles said enough was enough,” after more Windsor photos surfaced. Photos of the former Duke of York kept landing on front pages.
Now, the King’s younger brother is starting a quieter chapter on the Sandringham estate. Meanwhile, the shift leaves open questions about where Sarah Ferguson lands next.

King Charles couldn’t bear sight of Ex-Prince Andrew, it was ‘too much,’ says source
According to the Daily Mail’s report dated February 4, 2026, Andrew was ordered out of Royal Lodge early. However, he had been expected to move the following week. So, under the cover of darkness on Monday night, he traveled to Norfolk. A source said, “Charles said enough was enough and the message was conveyed to Andrew that it was time for him to head to Norfolk immediately.” He is now staying at Wood Farm Cottage on the Sandringham estate.
Then the report said his long-term base will be Marsh Farm by early April, after renovations. The estate is privately owned by the King. In turn, the source said, “He had to be removed from the public eye.” The source added, “Questions were being asked in royal circles along the lines of ‘what’s he still doing here?’ each time he appeared out riding.” Still, the source said, “Someone less arrogant than Andrew would have read the room and kept his head down for a while, but that’s not in his make-up, so something had to be done.”
Yet the move also touches his family. He shares daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie with Sarah Ferguson, his former wife. The report said Ferguson’s whereabouts “remain unknown.” At the same time, it suggested Andrew may return to Windsor “from time to time” to clear belongings, since it could take “some time.” Meanwhile, Prince William was tight-lipped and said, “I wish I could say more but I can’t.” Ultimately, King Charles and former Prince Andrew now keep their distance by design.

Ex-Prince Andrew & Sarah Ferguson Leave These Royals in a ‘Bind’ — Source
Ex-prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson’s exit from the royal house due to recent controversies has reportedly left their daughters in a “bind.” While Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have allegedly distanced themselves from their parents in public, they still remain “loyal” to them privately. Sources have claimed that their daughters are allegedly in a tough spot because, as much as they love their parents and want to support them, the recent controversies surrounding them make it difficult to take a stand for them publicly.
Ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughters ‘loyal’ to them in private, says source
Amid the latest controversies concerning ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the Daily Mail reports that their daughters remain “loyal” to them privately. As per a royal source, while Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice maintain a distance from their parents in public, they are still close to them in “private.” The source added, “The Yorks are just about holding it together as a family but this has put new strains on their relationships. The last I heard the daughters were still supporting both parents behind the scenes.”
The royal source further added that the sisters are in a terrible “bind.” “I think they should say something but I doubt they will because of their need to stay loyal to their parents in private while separating themselves in public,” continued the source.
While Andrew has moved to Sandringham Estate in eastern England, Ferguson’s accommodation details remain unknown. Sources allege that she won’t be moving with her ex-husband to Sandringham. An insider shared, “I know she was looking at a few options and hoped to stay in the Windsor area but this forced move has come sooner than expected.”
If rumors are true, her daughters have suggested she move abroad, possibly to Eugenie’s villa in Portugal. However, Ferguson would still need a permanent residence. A source shared, “Fergie did sell her Belgravia mews house for £3.85 million in August so in theory has that money to use for somewhere else to live. But that house was bought as an investment for Beatrice and Eugenie.” With this, it remains unclear where Ferguson will ultimately settle.
The Only Place Where Ex-Prince Andrew Still Holds Royal Title

It has been some time since ex-Prince Andrew was stripped of his royal title. King Charles allegedly took away his brother’s royal honors due to a series of controversies. Additionally, he was ordered to vacate his Royal Lodge in Windsor. However, as per a source, Andrew continues to hold a royal title in one place.
Name of this street is only way ex-Prince Andrew still holds royal title here
As per RadarOnline,ex-Prince Andrew holds a royal title at a residential street in Birmingham, England. It is Prince Andrew Crescent in Rubery that was built as part of the themed estate of the royal family. Residents have reportedly now stated that the issue of renaming the road has resurfaced after King Charles’s brother lost his royal patronages, military titles, and public role. However, Birmingham Street remains untouched.
Meanwhile, Carrickfergus in Northern Ireland confirmed the renaming of Prince Andrew Way due to community and reputation. However, one resident of Prince Andrew Crescent stated, “Once you’ve lived with a street name for years, it becomes part of how you think about your home.” The individual further added, “Even if it were officially changed, it would always be Prince Andrew Crescent to me.” The resident continued, “There are also very real practical worries, like mail delivery and official records.”
The individual believes “most people here would rather avoid that disruption and leave things as they are.” Other residents reportedly agreed, with one local saying, “I don’t see it as my place to sit in judgment of Andrew. That is something for God, not for neighbors on a quiet street.” the local continued, “I have lived here since the houses were first built, and from my perspective, there is no real purpose in changing the name now.”
The person further explained, “Much of the fuss has been driven by newspaper headlines rather than anything that affects daily life here.” Another resident shared, “Honestly, it doesn’t bother us at all.” The local added that they “really don’t want the inconvenience that would come with changing it.” However, one resident supported the name change as they “wouldn’t feel comfortable living on a road with that association.”
