The palace remains silent as concerns about Kate Middleton’s well-being and health grow
The lives of the Windsors have always attracted media attention and the attention of everyone, but much about them is kept private. Kate Middleton, one of the most admired figures, has been in the spotlight for her tireless work and her dedication to her royal duties. However, her recent absence from Royal Ascot has raised alarms about her true condition.
Kate Middleton is known for balancing her family life and her official duties. She is also known for her strength and ability to fulfill her schedule despite difficulties. Because of these qualities of the princess, her absence from the event has raised suspicions, but the Palace remains silent.
A health setback that leaves everyone surprised
According to royal journalist Concha Calleja, the reason Kate couldn’t attend Royal Ascot was a health problem. The princess woke up feeling unwell on Wednesday, June 18, and although Palace doctors tried to treat her, she didn’t improve. This forced the royal family to decide that Kate should receive hospital medical care, something that surprised everyone.
“They thought she would get better, Palace doctors treated her, but she didn’t improve; in the end, she needed hospital medical care,” Calleja explained. This revelation has been especially concerning, since Buckingham Palace hasn’t wanted to release the reason behind the hospitalization. This has caused more speculation among the media and followers of the royal family.

The pressure on Kate Middleton
What has caused even more concern is the relationship between this setback and Kate’s recovery from her previous illness. Calleja pointed out that the princess still hasn’t received full medical clearance from cancer. This has been ignored by the internal pressures for her to resume her official commitments.
“The drop in popularity of the royal family has forced Kate Middleton to return to her duties earlier than she should have. She hasn’t recovered yet, and rushing her so much isn’t benefiting her health,” she stated.
This statement highlights a painful reality for Kate. The pressures to keep the institutional role and public expectation can come into conflict with personal and health needs. However, the royal family keeps pressuring the princess to return to her duties before her health would allow.

Kate Middleton’s future: an uncertain path ahead
The silence from Buckingham Palace about Kate Middleton’s health remains a sensitive issue. The lack of official information keeps the media and the public waiting. Meanwhile, there are fears that the pressure on the Princess of Wales could have long-term consequences.
Without a doubt, the royal family faces a moment of great importance to balance Kate’s public image with her personal well-being. This is an issue that is becoming increasingly urgent to address.
Prince William Excludes Meghan Markle’s Kids From Monarchy to ‘Protect Crown,’ Says ‘Sources’
Prince William allegedly called the shots to exclude Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s kids from the monarchy. The Times recently reported that it’s “unlikely” the Sussexes’ children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, would have any royal roles and duties under the next reign. Now, multiple insiders claimed that the Prince of Wales made the decision unilaterally despite Kate Middleton’s concerns and without looping in his brother or the Palace.
Prince William is ‘shaping the monarchy’ his way, claims ‘sources’
Rob Shuter exclusively learned that Prince William doesn’t want to have “lingering ties” to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their kids. A senior royal aide claimed that the decision to exclude Harry and Markle’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, from the monarchy was entirely the Prince of Wales’ decision. “This was 100% William’s call,” they claimed, adding that the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, even “expressed concern, especially for the children.”
William seemingly didn’t “budge” and stood firm in his decision. In fact, he believes that drawing boundaries is “the only way to protect the crown” during his regime. A source further alleged that once he takes over the reins as king, his niece and nephew “won’t have roles, titles, or royal responsibilities.” Moreover, he “doesn’t want any lingering ties to the Sussexes,” after they stepped down as senior royals in 2020.
According to one insider, Prince William’s leaving out Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s kids from royal roles, titles, and duties was never about “fairness.” They believe it has been “about control” and his determination to shape “the monarchy his way,” which would mean “no Hollywood royals” and “no second chances.” Another royal insider pointed out that the next reign would be “William’s monarchy” and that Archie and Lilibet won’t be a part of it.
The Times recently learned that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s two children likely won’t have roles as working royals.\
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children will have no royal roles under Prince William’s reign: insiders
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will have no royal roles once William ascends to the throne, according to insiders.
The Prince of Wales, 43, has been planning his ascension to the throne since becoming heir following his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September 2022.
The future king, who has long championed a leaner monarchy, is reportedly crafting his own blueprint for the next generation of working royals.

As a huge question mark looms over the Sussex camp’s involvement in the monarchy once William becomes king, sources say that Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, will be outcasts from the royal fold under his reign.
“What has struck me the most recently is that he just doesn’t mention it at all,” an insider told the Times of London of William’s attitude toward his estranged brother, the Duke of Sussex, 40.
“It used to be that the family stuff was taking up a lot of space in his head, it was a very close relationship and he was very upset.”
“But he’s not letting it get to him at all anymore. It is a change. It’s sad, but it’s a much healthier space for him to be at,” the source added.
The insider added that despite the “anger” he once felt toward his brother following the release of “Spare” in 2023, he is now “indifferent” as far as the rift is concerned.
The Post has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.
It’s been widely reported that the Invictus Games founder wants his children to retain their HRH titles, allowing them the freedom to decide in the future whether to take on royal duties or continue building their lives in the US.
Still, it appears as though the future king maintains a similar stance to some fellow Brits, who last month told The Post in exasperation that “enough is enough” — and demanded that the Sussexes be stripped of their royal titles.
According to the report, the same goes for scandal-scarred Prince Andrew, whom William sees as a “risk” and “threat” to the Firm.
Both Charles and William are said to be keen to limit Andrew’s public appearances with the rest of the royals.
According to the report, the same goes for scandal-scarred Prince Andrew, whom William sees as a “risk” and “threat” to the Firm.
When Andrew stepped down as a working royal shortly after his friendship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein came to light, he was kept at arm’s length by Charles and the rest of the Windsor clan.
William has previously signaled that he is carving out his own path as the future monarch.
“I’m trying to do it differently and I’m trying to do it for my generation … I’m doing it with maybe a smaller ‘r’ in the royal, if you like,” he said last year during a four-day trip to Cape Town for the Earthshot Prize awards.
“So it’s more about impact, philanthropy, collaboration, convening and helping people. I’m also going to throw empathy in there as well because I really care about what I do.”
“It helps impact people’s lives and I think we could do with some more empathetic leadership around the world,” the prince added.
Experts believe William may be forced to reconsider his plans for a slimmed-down monarchy, given the absence of his estranged brother.
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will ‘have no role’ when William becomes King – despite Harry’s intention with their HRH titles
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children will not be given official roles when Prince William becomes King, insiders have claimed.
Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, currently live with their parents in Montecito, California.
Last month, insiders claimed to The Guardian that Harry wanted Archie and Lilibet to have HRH titles so when they are adults they retain the chance to become working royals, should they wish.
However, a report published in The Times over the weekend suggested that such a plan has sparked ‘bemusement in royal circles’, while William ‘doesn’t talk about his brother’ at all anymore.
Citing insiders, it adds: ‘Under the next reign, roles for Archie and Lili as working royals are unlikely.’
Archie and Lili have grown up away from the rest of the royal family and glimpses of them shared by Meghan on Instagram have shown they have American accents.
Former actress Meghan, 43, has started to share more and more frequent glimpses into the lives of her children – for example, filming them making Valentine’s Day treats together and sharing photos on their birthdays.
On their birth certificates, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s children are Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.

However, the Guardian report claimed Harry and Meghan feared their children’s UK passports were being held up due to the inclusion of their HRH titles – and that they even considered changing their surname to ‘Spencer’ – a nod to Princess Diana – as a result.
At the time, when asked if there was any objection from Charles or aides to the passports being issued with the HRH titles, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said: ‘No’, but declined to comment further.
The Sussexes’ use of HRH has proved highly controversial because the couple are said to have reassured the Queen that they would not use the title after they emigrated to the US.
MailOnline revealed that Meghan Markle calls herself Her Royal Highness to friends – but has denied that in doing so she is flouting the Megxit deal agreed with the late monarch.
Meghan sparked controversy after her friend Jamie Kern Lima shared a picture of a food hamper with a note that said it was ‘With the compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex’.
Although no laws were passed or documents signed to prevent their use, Harry and Meghan’s agreement with the late Queen and senior officials was that they would stop using the word ‘Royal’ and their HRH titles after they quit duties and emigrated to the US to become ‘financially independent’ from the Crown.
A spokesman for the Sussexes insisted that they do not use HRH titles for commercial purposes.
A source close to the royal couple suggested that the image shared by Jamie Kern Lima was taken before the Duchess launched her As Ever brand in early March.

In the podcast, Jamie Kern Lima claimed that she had been sent the jam last year.
The Sussexes have never had their HRH taken away by Queen Elizabeth II or King Charles.
The source close to the couple said that while Meghan and Harry do not publicly use ‘HRH‘, their titles remain.
Elsewhere, a friend of the Prince of Wales – who celebrated his 43rd birthday on Saturday – said he no longer cares what his brother says about the Royal Family to the public.
‘It used to be that the family stuff was taking up a lot of space in his head, it was a very close relationship and he was very upset,’ the insider was quoted as saying in The Sunday Times story.
‘But he’s not letting it get to him at all any more. It is a change. It’s sad, but it’s a much healthier space for him to be at.’

The rift was exacerbated by the publication of Harry’s memoir Spare that levelled accusations against his family.
Harry claimed that William, 42, branded Meghan ‘difficult’, ‘rude’ and ‘abrasive’, and even accused him of pushing him into a dog bowl.
The last time the warring brothers were publicly seen together was at the funeral for their uncle Robert Fellowes.
The youngest brother also reached out to William after his wife Kate Middleton’s shock cancer diagnosis.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were understood to have made contact with the Prince and Princess of Wales ‘privately’.
It was also claimed in the United States that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex only learnt about Kate’s condition at the same time the world heard the news.
Sources told the New York Post that the couple had ‘no idea’ about Kate’s illness.
Hours after the news, the couple released a short statement wishing the Princess of Wales and her family ‘health and healing’.
The couple said they hoped Kate and her family would be ‘able to do so privately and in peace’.

Most recently, Prince Harry gave a bombshell BBC interview where he revealed that the King ‘won’t speak to me because of this security stuff.’
Harry spoke to the BBC in Santa Barbara, California, after he lost a court of appeal over his and his family’s security arrangements on May 2.
The father-of-two commented on his troubled relationship with Charles, saying that he doesn’t know ‘how much longer’ there was left for his father, who is battling cancer.
‘Life is precious,’ he said. ‘I don’t know how much longer my father has, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff. It would be nice to reconcile.’
William’s most recent milestone has been his 43rd birthday and tributes were posted by his father and wife, Kate Middleton.
Charles shared a believed-to-be unseen image of the heir – as well as a sweet message – via the Royal Family’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.
In the casual snap, the Prince of Wales is seen looking pensive as he sits outside in a field of grass in a rural setting.
Dressed in a button down pale blue shirt, as well as navy slacks, the royal’s informal look is further enhanced with his light beard.

The image was accompanied by a simple caption which read: ‘Happy Birthday to The Prince of Wales!’.
Kate also shared a snap and short written message.
The adorable image posted by Kate via the Wales’ Kensington Royal social media account shows the heir sitting in a field, while playing with a group of small puppies, whose mother is believed to be Orla, the Wales’ family dog.
In the image, the father-of-three a\z dressed casually, wearing jeans paired with a long-sleeved green button down shirt, as the puppies crawl over him sweetly.
The photograph was accompanied by a caption from the Princess of Wales and other members of their family.
It said: ‘Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!’
The Prince of Wales enjoyed a busy week in the lead-up to his birthday, attending events including Trooping The Colour and Royal Ascot.
Prince Harry offering olive branch to estranged dad King Charles and brother Prince William in surprise move
Prince Harry is offering King Charles III and Prince William an “olive branch” by inviting them to the 2027 Invictus Games.
An emailed invitation will be sent to Harry’s estranged father and brother later this month, followed by a formal invitation, the Daily Mail reported Monday.
“Harry has agreed that Invictus should extend an invitation to his family,” a source told the outlet Monday. “Invictus hopes the royal family will come along to support the wounded veterans taking part.”
The insider said Harry, 40, is “hopeful” his dad will set aside their differences to support the biennial sports competition for wounded, sick or injured service people and veterans.
“The royals have always been hugely supportive of Invictus and proud of what Harry has achieved in that arena. This is one olive branch from him which might be reciprocated,” the source said.
The advanced timing of the invite was reportedly designed to give royal family members the best chance of attending, as Charles’ schedule starts filling up three years in advance.
However, it’s unclear if the king will be able to attend the event as the 2027 Invictus Games are scheduled to kick off on July 10 that year and wrap on Queen Camilla’s 80th birthday, July 17.
There no Invictus Games in 2026.
Page Six confirmed that no invites have been issued to anyone yet, whether they be friends, family, government, military, sponsors, or other VIPs, as the event is more than two years out. We also learned that the invite list is decided by the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 team and not Harry.
Harry’s attempt to reconcile with his older brother and their dad inspired mixed reactions from royal experts.
“The royals have always been hugely supportive of Invictus and proud of what Harry has achieved in that arena. This is one olive branch from him which might be reciprocated,” the source said.
“The king might attend to show support for the armed forces and congratulate Harry on the most significant success in his life,” royal biographer Ingrid Seward told the Daily Mail.
“The only reason the king is wary of associating with his son is that he no longer trusts him not to repeat their private conversations as he has done in the past,” she said, adding, “This goes for all the working members of the family.”
Royal commentator Katie Nicholl upheld Charles’ intention to make amends with the Duke of Sussex.

“The king absolutely wants a relationship with his youngest son and with his grandchildren,” Nicholl said, referring to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, whom Harry shares with Meghan Markle.
“He has an incredible capacity for forgiveness and he wants to be magnanimous in all of this and therefore there’s certainly a possibility that the king might consider attending Invictus.”
In May, Harry shared in a bombshell interview that he was “desperate” to bury the hatchet with his dad, 76.
“[Charles] won’t speak to me because of this security stuff,” Harry told BBC News, referring to his failed court battle for publicly funded security for his family during visits to the UK.
Harry has been on the outs with his family since he and Markle, 43, resigned from their royal duties and moved to California in 2020.
The As Ever founder and her husband have since conducted several bombshell interviews bashing the royal family. Harry also aired their dirty laundry in his 2023 memoir, “Spare.”
Page Six has reached out to Harry’s rep for comment.
